I'm not fond about theme but I encountered that kind of things and I don't really like it. It doesn't catch my attention but all I remember about theme, let me think. I guess all I know is one of the famous literary works with love themes is, Romeo and Juliet by William Shakespeare.

My favorite theme is God. I would like to know more about Him. I believe he made. He had a plan and purpose for my life. I want to serve Him all the days of my life.

God is the source of my life and strength. He is my inspiration. He loves me when no one ever does. I turn to Him when I have problems. He is my friend. he is with me all the time.

Given the opportunity, I love to write about cooking, culinary arts, and nutritional health. I have always been Jealous of Anthony Bourdain. You've probably heard of his show, No Reservations, which featured him traveling around the world to sample various local cuisines. What I loved about his show was how it related the food back to the people who eat it. He dug into the agriculture and economics of what they used, putting on display how certain meals fit into the lives of the local populace. When I write about these topics, I get the opportunity to do a little cultural exploration right from my easy chair and relate the wonderful things I've found to my readers.

It's just unfortunate for me that there's so little demand for it. These types of articles are inherently opinion pieces, and opinion is not a commodity in short supply. On the rare opportunity I get to write about food, however, I always make it a point to show people how they can get more from their meal by investing just a little extra time and effort into their cooking technique. It is very important to me that a narrative is woven to act as a display table for the recipe I'm presenting so my readers can envision how it would fit into their meal event.

It's funny that you mention Anthony Bourdain here. I was obsessed with him and his shows for a while. Even though he could rub me the wrong way, at times, I still learned a lot from his many programs, and I identify with his "punk rock" sensibilities. I would like to encourage you to keep pursuing your love of food writing. I think that is a great theme and pursuit, and I know that I, and many of my friends, are totally into this subject and interested in it. Teaching cooking techniques is invaluable as well. A lot of us grew up in environments where our elders did not teach us how to cook for ourselves, so your writing could really help people with that experience.

He has a certain self-serving, acerbic attitude that both enhances his cool factor, but also makes him nebulously unlikeable. It's hard to put a concise phrase to it which adequately conveys the nature of his personality because, while he can be a jerk, he also has a profound sense of wisdom rooted in humanism.

The ultimate example for me can be seen in the episode he did after that terrible earthquake which leveled Haiti. (I suppose this may be a good time to warn of spoilers?) In it, you see Bourdain moved by the plight of these people who have lost everything and have nothing to eat. Out of a spirit of generosity, he spent his own money to set up a free food station. The camera-work here is excellent as it shows Bourdain's slow realization that he'd made a horrible mistake. Desperate people will often behave as animals, and this free food station brought out the worst in them. There was fighting, people being bullied to hand over their rations, and a general mob mentality ensued.

It turns out that even something as simple as human generosity needs consideration, lest it is deployed in a way that makes things worse. This isn't an immediately obvious lesson for most people. It is exactly this type of depth, laced with a paradoxical humility which keeps me coming back to Bourdain's work.

Painterly,
Actually, after watching him in several different shows after several seasons and over many years, I think that he really matured and became more of a spokesperson for other cultures rather than only explorer of them. I, like you, find him abrasive for a number of reasons, but I do keep coming back to his programs which never bore me, even when they are a bit corny and on the intellectual level of toilet humor, at times, because I learn about the world from him, and I have learned to ignore his lens at times while I am seeing it my way.

In general, my favorite themes are based on those things I'm passionate about or at the very least somewhat knowledgable about. Because of that, I find myself most interested in writing about anything relating to photography, video, filmmaking, or music-related. I'm slowly developing more and more skills in the fields of photography and filmmaking, but I feel as though I've reached a point where I know a little more about both than the average person, and that makes me feel at least halfway qualified to write on the topics.

Are you sure you want to delete this post?

JoeMilford
Music and film would seem to me to be inexhaustible and exciting topics to constantly write about. I can't even keep up with how much good music and how many good films are always being produced, and I have a sort of backlist of things I need to get to in my art and media consumption, but I just never seem to have the time. I appreciate your passion for your subject, and I respect you developing your knowledge and expertise in it. That's awesome.

I used to have favorite themes to write about when I was in high school and doing journalism. But now my focused theme isn't that popular, or shall I say, not everybody would somehow like it. And also, I lack the patience and motivation to promote it if ever I publish one. For now, I am interested on TV shows specially the trending and upcoming ones. I also like to dwell into the past and relieve the memories of the classic TV shows and movies that really stood out and made an impact.

Are you sure you want to delete this post?

JoeMilford
Now I am curious--what is the theme that you think no one would be interested in? You might actually be surprised.

Are you sure you want to delete this post?

galegatling
Well if you really wanted to know, I am really curious as to how the universe works in terms of time travels, wormholes, parallel universes and extraterrestrial beings on the furthest part of our universe. I am certain that there are still mysteries waiting to be discovered but it seems only a few people are interested these days. Lol. Told you it's boring. What Is Your Favorite Theme?

galegating,
I am totally interested in this! Are you kidding? have you ever heard of the podcast highersidechats? You should really check this out. I would totally frequent and contribute to a blog about this, and I know a lot of other people who would as well. Seriously. I am writing a science fiction novel about the hollow earth theory right now, actually...

Are you sure you want to delete this post?

DarthHazard
That is probably one of the most interesting topics to be fair. You should look into starting to write about it because I'm sure there is an extremely large audience for it. Especially if you write about extraterrestrials because who doesn't love a good article about some aliens?

Are you sure you want to delete this post?

JoeMilford
I won't go into detail, but there are more things lurking in the hollow earth and more mysteries to be found there than we would ever believe...also, the book is shaping into quite an epic, and you begin to realize that things on the surface have been greatly affected, even engineered, by what lies below our feet....

Are you sure you want to delete this post?

galegatling
Haha lol you guys! It's hard starting an article specially when it comes to things such as these that aren't scientifically proven yet. The worst case scenario would be, people will be bashing the writer because of false accusations and stuff without definitive proof and we all know how people of the Internet reacts on such things.

Are you sure you want to delete this post?

JoeMilford
Let me clarify here--I am writing a science fiction eBook about this--I am aware that most of this stuff is not provable or feasible, but it is fun to write about. What I am trying to do with the blog is present ideas and chapters of the eBook to whet the appetite of the audience so that they purchase the entire eBook that I offer which finished the project as a whole, if that makes sense. I make it clear that I am writing science fiction. People really do go a little crazy with these ideas; you are right about that.

I think the best topic to write about is the various different money making opportunities. I think that it's just one of those topics that a lot of people are interested in reading and a topic that most freelancers will be knowledgeable in. It's the topic that I enjoy writing about because I would love to encourage users to try out the different money making opportunities that I am aware of. And by sharing these with users, hopefully, they are able to benefit from it and make some much money.

Are you sure you want to delete this post?

JoeMilford
DarthHazard,
I am definitely interested in that topic, and I have become familiar with you and a lot of your posts, many of which have given me advice and money-making ideas. Being altruistic with our posts and helping one another is an ancillary benefit form frequenting these forums, and I think there is enough money out there for all of us to pursue, so we should continue being supportive of one another's ideas and ventures.

Are you sure you want to delete this post?

galegatling
Yes! Money-making articles and posts will surely get someone or some people's attention since, who doesn't love to earn money? But do make sure that you aren't putting any click baits or segways just to get views and page visits. Being flagged as a spammer and spreading false informations can have very bad implications to your reputation and we all know nobody wants that.

My favorite is probably anything that's related to the internet or technology/gadgets. I had a blog about it and it did really well. However, I was too lazy to write new content every day for it so I just sort of left it inactive. I do plan to launch it again in the next month though because there are always new technological things to present to people. I've definitely regained my passion and learned how to write even more through freelancing. Other than that, I guess SEO is really enjoyable to write about as well What Is Your Favorite Theme?

Tronia,
I would love to write about this kind of thing but I am such a newbie Luddite technophobe that it would be impossible for me. Mt friends joke that I have an electromagnetic field around me that disrupts electronic devices, and I can seem to break anything I touch as I am an incredible klutz. I agree that SEO is very interesting, but I think I definitely prefer to read about it more than to write about it. I am learning a great deal about it though these days, to be sure.

First of all, I think any writing can only flow when you have some knowledge about what you are writing, and if you want to write about something you don't know... You'll need to do some researches first. It may not be a simple process, but it's essential to deliver a well done job.

Based on this: I prioritize writing about movies, musics, travels, technologies and games (but I can write about anything as long as I have the necessary knowledge).

My theme is to write recipes which I do cook and bake 6 days a week for the past 20 years of my life. Hence, I have tons of recipes to share online. i wrote on my blog and Hubpages but the response wasn't good enough to buy a cup of coffee. Maybe I should try different theme which I am passionate of; craft hand making and blogging.

Are you sure you want to delete this post?

JoeMilford
I bet you have some really good dishes and techniques after doing this for twenty years! That is awesome! I think it is so cool that you saved all of these recipes and that you are willing to share them with others. I do not think the issue is with your theme! It's a great theme--maybe it is just how you are getting traffic to your work and what kind of traffic is it?

Well, I find that articles written in list format are an easy way of getting views. Lists are popular with people because I guess they can skim over them fast and see if they're interested or not. They're actually less lazy and more versatile than people would expect; your descriptions for each item can be simple and short or as detailed as you want. You can always make the list personal and pretty much just list your personal opinion or you can be more detached and simply do something like "the 8 most incredible OVNI appearances science hasn't been able to explain" or something along the lines of that. As for the actual content of the lists, I like writing about general entertainment (books, movies or music) and general mysteries (both criminal and super-natural), but the second requires you to do a good amount of research and documentation.

Well, i can pull of every kind of theme, due to how i prepare.Undertaking this initial preparation will save you from having
to put too many of those unfinished stories in the bottom drawer of the
filing cabinet.
I personally put a great deal of thought into my themes and there are some themes, like betrayal, bullying, survival and
loneliness, that resonate with me particularly.
I have explored those several times both in non-fiction and fiction.

It is not the topic that makes an article interesting to read. The content makes a topic hot or cold. I agree that the heading does have an important role in capturing one's attention, but a very boring topic can be made interesting by using an exciting and eye-catching header.

I would suggest you pick a topic you love to write about and embellish it in the way you want, without compromising the credibility. Then pack it in a beautiful wrap called the headline. The article will become super hot.

I have many interests and so I do not think I would stick to just one theme. It could be about my pets, my garden, my passion for photography, reaching out, travel - each having a style of their own.

Are you sure you want to delete this post?

JoeMilford
I would most likely read a blog about gardening or travel. I am really interested in both of those topics, and I think you have an audience just waiting on you out there to write about these popular topics. What sort of topics would you cover specifically in your garden writing? What specific areas of travel and what places might you cover in your travel writing?

I'm particularly attracted to topics relating to mental health and well being. Without going into too much detail concerning my personal life, I've suffered from depression and anxiety since my early teens. It has always been a severe burden and upon entering my early twenties I decided to try my best to be rid of it. I took up a lifestyle prioritizing health and fitness over anything else, and it eventually became somewhat of an obsession. With enough effort I managed to drag myself out of the hole I fell into, but I acknowledge that there are millions of people still stuck in there. I enjoy writing about my knowledge of mental health because I feel it is a way to help others given my own experience.

Are you sure you want to delete this post?

JoeMilford
This is an awesome theme, and your own story is so inspiring anyway. It is wonderful that you are able to take your own experience and turn it into something that could help others. Not a lot of people would even think of doing this for others, so I just want to commend you on this effort and enterprise of expression. You sound like you are promoting a mixture of mental AND physical health, and I think that is a very important pursuit for all of us.

Are you sure you want to delete this post?

Thank you for the complements! They're greatly appreciated. I acknowledged the fact that there are hundreds of thousands--if not millions--of people out there who were and are still in the same position I was. In some ways, knowing that actually made things a bit easier on myself, because I felt less alone. I'd like to convince others that they aren't alone either, and that there is a way out of every rut, but you need a plan. Obviously, that sort of advice is best given by people who've been there and formulated a plan themselves. If one hasn't walked in those shoes, they can't be expected to know what it's really like.

My favorite theme is love. Maybe you're asking why. Well, love is not just merely a word but it can conquers all. There were many kinds of love but I would like to tackle the agape love. Agape love is an unconditional love, this is a love that God's offers to each and everyone. This love has no standards, requirements or anything in exchange. God loves us no matter who we are and what we're doing right at the moment. Everyday He extends His love through giving us good health, protection, providing our needs and giving us breath. It is my pleasure to tell the whole world that our creator is full of constant and unconditional love, and right now He is knocking at the door of your heart, urging you to let Him come in and rule your life. As of now, I really enjoy His love that manifested in my family, and my entire life. I hope experienced too.

I always tend to do comments or give opinions on health related themes. The fact is that I'm a physician, so obviously I feel the need or the call to speak about it. But, this can be kind of boring sometimes, so I like to comment on my other fascination... cooking! I can't help but to read, watch, practice, copy, improve, any dish that I heard of. My favorite ones are desserts, pastries, and anything sweet. I dream about having my own pastry business, definitively that is something I really enjoy.

I do not have favorite theme in particular. I just have this free writing to what theme, topic or subject that would interest me. It would matter as well to how far or how much knowledge I do have to a certain topic. I enjoy expressing my thoughts about love, business, health, lifestyle or any topics. But I guess the subject that I can impart more sentiments is about Love. Maybe because I have lots of friends experiencing different kind of love story. Love problems, struggles, pains and real love are such examples. I, myself, have a real love story, Well, I am so confident to say that. I met this awesome guy living near our block. He is so handsome, so tall and turn out to be so kind and responsible. And he is now the father of my child, our sweet baby girl Fia.

I take most themes when I'm freelancing but I would prefer to write about language learning, software review, finance, accounting, and biography of famous persons. it's always easier to write about things that I enjoy and those that I have some background or practical knowledge of. I don't mind taking writing projects on other themes, though, because I enjoy researching and learning new things. I also find them more challenging and exciting.

Are you sure you want to delete this post?

I like a lot of the same themes that you are also fond of here. I would like to do a blog that discusses the biographies of famous writers and poets, actually. I think that that would be really cool, especially if people who were really interested in literature and artists responded to it with care and intelligence. I love the challenge of excitement of research as well, and I could imagine that my audience could send me on missions to research certain poets and fiction writers for them and them come back the next week with an original post and strong content.

My favorite theme is pets and animal although I am also comfortable with home and household. When that is the topic in a forum, I would surely read and more often than not, I would post a comment to share what I have on my head. When I was a guest blogger, I had been writing about my pets mostly but sometimes I also have articles on other animals especially domesticated animals like rabbits and parakeets. Writing about something that you love is as easy as pie.

Corzhens,
I think that I remember you talking, in a separate forum, about doing a blog about grooming dogs and taking care of canines in general. I am an avid animal lover, so I really do appreciate this idea and the information that is out there for people like me. I agree that writing about something we love is easy, but don't let it get TOO easy, right? We need to always constantly challenge our writing to be better and better--I try not to get too comfortable even in the subjects which I love because I want to continue growing as a writer always.

My favorite theme when I'm freelancing is weight-loss.In my experience when you write on topics that you're familiar with, you do a better job.You also write from your heart and personal experience. It makes your writing easier and you're in a better position to produce original work. I have been over-weight for most of my life I know what diets are out there. I've reached a point I can easily comment on them and come up with my own path to weigh-loss.

That is a cool topic to write about--I have just never had enough know-how or expertise in order to write about health themes or fitnes themes. I am in good shape and take care of myself, but I would never presume to give someone else even general advice about such matters, so I am respectful to what you do. I do really appreciate that you have a close and personal relationship to your subject matter--that really makes a difference, and I also think that that is very appealling to an audience because they can sense your integrity and your desire to help others with your work.

I love writing about health and fashion. This is a very easy topic to write about and I always have ideas flowing. TV and Film is my bread and butter. I also like to write about the NBA. I can write about these with zero research. Give me a topic about TV, Film, or the NBA, and I will give you an article in less than 2 hours. But I find that some themes that would make me think and do research are the ones that I always find interesting. Maybe because they are a challenge, or just because I learned something new while working on them.
