What is A Writer's Dream?

I love writing. I wrote booklets and books (but not yet published) specifically inspirational, leadership and Spiritual. My friends other Pastors and Ministers enjoy my work and used them in their ministry. I am encourage to do more, upgrade my skills and expand my craft. I was mesmerized by the fact that my works inspire other people and help them to become a better person. It was so amazing to see other people become better and improve their lives with your craft. Personally, my dream was to make a book that will bring other people closer to God for His glory until one day I was struck by a question "What is A Writer's Dream?" Out of nowhere I ask that question to myself and became curious about the real writer's dream. So, what was your dream as a writer?

Long ago all I ever wanted was fortune and fame. That is what my dream was. All that doesn't interest me anymore.

I've always wanted to make a difference in the world. Even a small difference in someone's life would suffice. If what I write will give them hope when they've lost it, make them smile when they feel unhappy. That's all I want - use my skills to make the world a better place than I found it. It's not something that is going to be easy obviously but I'll do the best I can.

A writer's dream is not supposed to be for fame and money. I believe that the best dream of the writer is to glorify His maker. He is the one who gave wisdom in writing.

Writing for the good of somebody is good. The same is true is the dream is for the change of the world for the better. I remember our national hero Jose Rizal was a writer and his writings has a great impact in the freedom of our country.

To be honest I don't know if I'll even know if the work I do will have made a difference in someone's life. It would be pretty hard to find that out.

Nonetheless what matters most is at the end of it all I'd have done what I had to do. Better do something and fail rather than do nothing at all because you are afraid you might fail.

As a kid I was like that too. I wanted to make money and be famous!
Now, I would like to write a book that strong, that would change the people. Their behavior when it comes to them respecting other people that are different, them respecting nature that is dying because of us and hopefully made a world that is a little bit better for the young generations.

A writers dream is to find fulfillment from their work. Fulfillment is in many aspectives. It may be monetary or customer satisfaction.

When I started writing, my dream was to make wealth through writing. After a short time, I realized that it was not that easier, and that made me shift my dream as a writer.

My dream is impacting the world positively through writing. I am a conservationist. Writing has helped me pass the message I intend to thousands of people. I now dream of using writing to pass the message of environment conservation, especially to the young.

Thanks for the salute. I am still pushing on. Nature is unforgiving, and it is only through awareness that people can start seeing the importance of conservation, and how they can participate in conservation.

You need to read inspirational words so as to be able to write words that can inspire others as well. The truth is that you can't give what you don't have and the same is when we write because it is the knowledge that we have that we tend to share with other people out there.

True reading helps to increase on the knowledge that one has and this is why it is always important to develop a reading culture. When you do not add new information into your brain you will be recycling the old content which tends to get out of date with time.

I actually have a lot of experiences and knowledge about other people's experiences that I believe is going to give inspiration to others if I write about them. However, my only dilemma is the fact that I also have a lot of stories to tell on my fiction stories and novels which I guess is easier to write because I am actually quite uncertain about the format so your advice about reading inspirational words/books is going to be very helpful, thanks. And yes, it's really impossible to share what you really don't have so I believe to inspire others with write-ups is totally not an easy job.

Writing with my ministerial hat on here. If you have been given books to write then get them out there. This is not a dream, but a ministry. You cannot say "Lord I had a dream." but you need to say, "Lord your holy spirit inspired me and i got it out there for whoever you meant to be blessed by it." Never bury a talent. I too would love for people to be helped and inspired by nmy books and what I write. However, if we sit on what we are given, they will not be. I won't quote scripture here but you will know the ones we both cannot ignore.

A writer dream can be to educate, inform, inspire and motivate his/her readers with words that will make them want to read his works always. This is something that I have really enjoyed when people tell me that they have been educated with the things that I write. So, when your works are giving the necessary impact, then your dream is said to be actualized.

If as a writer and any of your writings fails to do any of the following for your readers, then it's absolutely understandable and obvious that you have failed on the job and should possibly be looking for other fields to engage in. Every write up must at least educate and inform people about something.

Most writers in the beginning simply write. They initially don't write for the money. They do it because they love writing. Eventually however most end up writing solely for the money and nowadays that is the primary goal for most writers. Not that it is bad to profit from your talent but if the pen is mightier than the sword, there is much writers could do for the world if they tried.

As a writer I'm always happy when my writing resonates with someone. If I can make a connection with people, that's ultimately at the heart of my goals as a writer.

My dream is also to be able to turn writing into a full time career. Right now I'm only earning part-time wages from writing, so if I could expand that to a permanent, stable full time income I'd be thrilled.

I believe that at the moment a bigger number of online freelance writers are focusing all of their attention on making their freelance work a full time job and make enough money to take care of their responsibilities.

Personally, I'm pushed towards that same direction as do you and hopefully, it's going to be realized sooner than later.

It definitely does seem to be the case that many online freelancers are looking for ways to extend their income to being a full time one. It’s not easy! I’ve constantly got my eyes open for new opportunities but sometimes it’s hard to get them to materialize.

Creative writers can make money writing both fiction and non-fiction.

Writing short fiction can be profitabl and there are numerous magazines which are always seeking submissions. Competition out there is stiff but the story that doesn't sell can be listed on some marketplace and sold as a short story. The time you spent writing that story wouldn't have been wasted.

Well, writer's dream can differ from one person to another as we all varied with our life goals and aspirations.

I am not an aspiring writer but I have many friends who are writers. They say their dream is to have something that is published. Book writers want to have a published book while scriptwriters in tv and movies want a movie from the script. For playwrights, it is the stage play that is their dream. For me, I have somehow reached my dream of having a published article. I have several in a major magazine for pets and I think that is already my biggest accomplishment in writing.

You could build on what you have achieved so far. It would be easier to be accepted elsewhere if you provide proof that articles you've written have been published in a magazine. Or at the very least try to persuade the editor of that magazine to let you be a regular contributor.

I think ultimately, a writer's dream is to connect. Whether it is so to influence others for the better or just to make a point and be understood. What drives a writer to keep on writing is this feeling. To reconcile yourself to a greater body than yourself. To go beyond your persona. With these a writer would find himself, writing and writing to keep that connection alive.

It sounds mundane, but I have never been able to express myself creatively in a way I am truly proud of. I have read articles or book that give me pause for thought or that put a particular situation in context. When I started writing online as an article writer my biggest dream was to be popular and well known all over the world but as time goes by I just realized that I am happy when I am seeing people getting inspired after reading my articles. It feels good with somebody says positive about your article and if they feel more dedicated with their lives. For me inspiring others is great job and a priceless one because it makes me more motivated to my best in writing.

When I started writing, I never really thought of pushing it to the next level. All I do is to write what is asked to me by the client. With this writing jobs, once I submit them, I can no longer consider them as my writing. Names of the person who requested those content will now be the one placed there as the writer. This was the time that I realized, if my work is good enough for them to consider and place their name, then why not do that for myself. So I started doing what I do for these clients in a blog. When people get to share the content I wrote, it makes me happy. Having more visits, likes and share is just one of my short term dream. After that, I might move on to doing short stories, to novel, or inspirational books. Just getting recognized is my simple dream. Being awarded for doing it is just a bonus to celebrate.

Well, honestly I don't have any such big dream as a writer. I would like to continue doing good work till the time I can. Writing does give me a good way of expressing myself clearly. I would say most of the writing work I do is because I enjoy the process of writing. If in the process of my writing people get inspired by my work, then I will, of course, be very happy. I would say that if I am able to write something that is helpful and inspiring for others then that will satisfy me and I will feel that my dream of contributing positively to the society through my work will be realized

My dream is to write and publish a book that will inspire and motivate a lot of readers. I know that is not easy to achieve but being able to do this will be a dream come true. I think it's everyone's dream to be famous and you see yourself your publish books make it as New York Times Best Seller. Every time I write stories I always think, Oh my God what if this stories of mine will be publish one day? Well no one that it is not free to dream big. SO why not see the bigger picture right?

Not necessarily. Not everyone wants to be famous. There are a lot of authors who have sold many books, but you couldn't pick them out of a lineup because they aren't out there in the spotlight all the time.
