What do you guys think about the SCP-Wiki?

The SCP-Wiki is a website that contains a collection of stories surrounding the SCP Foundation, a fictional organization that aims to "Secure, Contain, Protect" unusual and surreal entities and anomalies. Stories can be in two formats, an SCP article (which is written like a report of the anomaly in the fictional database of the organization) or a Tale (just like a regular story which can be in almost any format).

What do you guys think about writing for this website? Personally I think the website is a fun and productive way of practicing writing fiction. The website expects high-quality and college-level writing and the people there give very constructive advice on how an aspiring writer might construct their story. The skills I've gained from this website have been useful in my other writing projects. Really encourage aspiring writers to give this website a try.

I haven't done any of such activity. I am not that confident in my writing skills. I need to improve and enhance my ability.I have few experience about writing articles but not with website. Although, it's exciting to try and a challenge to go beyond the limit but I am still hesitant.But, i will try it one day.

I have not checked out the site myself. But I think this really is a creative and fun way to start a project and practice you're writing skills. But I do have my doubts on writing for that site. I fear that I might take part on spreading misleading information about something that might not exist. But I do hope that they inform readers that the articles are just for fun.

I think there's no harm in trying. I also think that they wouldn't believe the stories because they are pure fictional. Anyway, I think it's worth it. Well, if the reader believes it, then, that might mean that the content is creatively written. Lol

Well I wouldn't really say that I have written a good job even if the readers believe what I wrote. There are a lot of fake news and misleading info on social media. I don't want to be branded as a false writer since writing is a passion for me and influencing my readers is what I aim. I want them to be captive of my writings but I want to be clear that if I write fiction then I have to clearly state that it is fiction. A lot is happening in the world and I don't want to cause unnecessary panic.

Well, in the website's FAQ it specifically states that the website is in fact, fictional. No need to worry about spreading false news.

This is the first time that I've heard of that site and it looks like the venue for theorists who subscribe to the idea of conspiracies. I'm sure fiction writers will enjoy the site and I probably would enjoy it too when I find some interesting tales. But to submit stories there, I guess I will have to leave it to the younger people because I seem to have lost the passion to write fiction for now. Thanks for sharing the information about SCP.

It's definitely my first to hear about SCP-Wiki. How is it even related to other Wikis? I would want to try it and see if it helps as a visual aid or instructional material for my tudebts in writing.

I have tried to visit the website. I'm finding a hard time grasping the context of the website. It seems very complex. The writing skills though are on the higher level. It will definitely improve the writing skills of someone who will immerse in this kind of website.
