One embarrassing moment in your life?

We've all had our fair share of embarrassments whether if it's with friends or families, or in a public place. I can't think of someone that I know (or don't know in this case) who doesn't have at least one or two embarrassing or awkward moments in their lives.

These are the kind of moments wherein you or someone who witnesses it will eventually have to do something similar to the below image.

As for me, I can't even remember how many embarrassing moments I've got since there are so many! Lol. I can give one though. It was back in high school wherein I did not listen to the announcement carefully and attentively during the afternoon before classes were dismissed. Maybe because I was thinking about something (probably anime) and I just thought it's just a normal day and normal announcements wherein I could just ask my classmate later for it. So I when I got home, I tried to remember before sleeping what the announcement was about. The only thing I could remember was there will be an event at the school and students were required to wear specific clothing and I forgot when the event was gonna happen. So then I woke up, did my daily routines before going to school, etc. Then when I got to school, I was wearing my complete school uniform of course. I noticed that there aren't people outside and there seems to be something going on inside the campus so I went in. And boom! Yep. You've guessed it -- the event was during that day and everyone was looking at me and I was like 'can someone kill me please.' LOLOLOL! One embarrassing moment in your life? One embarrassing moment in your life?

How about you? I'm sure you have something funny, awkward and embarrassing moments to share. Don't worry, we don't know each other here. Hehe.

LOL, i can relate, very funny. My embarrassing moment was many years back in college, there was this girl that i was really crushing on, not knowing she was crushing on me too. So during the holiday, I was added to a group chat and i found out she was also in the group chat, then i copied her number, and messaged her.
From there, we were chatting on Whatsapp and other virtual chat apps, but we have not gone physical. When the holiday was over, school resumed and I was already feeling weak and feverish, because i was damn shy, the thought of meeting her physically made my limbs weak, and my friends already knew I was chatting with her and they were all hyped up.
During class break, she came to my class with her friends accompanying her, she came and stood on the balcony of my class waiting for me, immediately i saw her, I felt like fainting One embarrassing moment in your life? , my friends where haling me Authord! Authord!. One embarrassing moment in your life?
So i strolled out of the class, and the ovation was loud, because my friends where lousy and that's my first time of going physical with a girl One embarrassing moment in your life? . so i was like
ME: HI *looking at my feet*
HER: Hey
ME: How you doing
Her: Cool
At this moment i experienced a blackout all the PUAs lines i crammed formatted from my brain, and i didn't know what to say again. She was looking at me, i was busy looking at the floor, due to shyness. and she couldn't even help me out . i felt like the ground should open to bury myself in shame One embarrassing moment in your life? . I opened my mouth to talk, nothing could come up out of it, because when am tensed, i stammer .
At this moment my friends were laughing real hard at me, and her friends noticed and came and dragged here out of my presence, while they laughed away. I stayed there for like 24seconds before i could feel my feet and dragged my self back to my class in total embarrassment.
Whenever i remember this, i hit my self real hard with a pitch book, worst day of my life One embarrassing moment in your life? .
But Boys are now Men.

Good thing you didn't really crush her. One embarrassing moment in your life? Cool story bro. One embarrassing moment in your life? We all have that specially in our high shcool days but on college it's probably not going to happen, or things like that won't even happen. College is so different lol. But at least you have experienced something like that. Magical eh? One embarrassing moment in your life?

What I remember when I was in college was, that time it was during break time and then we were going to eat lunch at the canteen so we're going down stairs with my blockmates. I noticed my crush was at the back and it was also there break so they also went down the stairs with his friends. I looked at him at the back without looking at the steps and then I suddenly fell one step I did not noticed my shoelace has loosened up but thankfully I only fell 1 step but was so close to the ground if I didn't balance myself but it really embarrassed me because I shouted and I can't explain my reaction. My blockmates,my crush and his friends laughed at me. I was blushing and my face was so red. I really can't forget this huhu

There must be many embarrassing moments as is the case with anyone else. One comes to mind. I was calling my niece and expecting her to respond. Even before she could say anything I just said 'Hi sweetheart' but it was her father who picked up the phone. I quickly put the phone down.

Are you sure you want to delete this post?

galegatling
Hahahaha! That is funny! But why did you put the phone down in an instant? Lol. That would make you somehow be suspicious of something bad. One embarrassing moment in your life? Did you ever talk to her dad after? Like explain something? I bet you regret putting down the phone. One embarrassing moment in your life?

I can remember one from youth which I hesitate to even recall here! But since others have been so brave, I will try to be as well.

I was a hyper sort as a child. I was never formally diagnosed with ADHD, but looking back on myself in younger years it would not surprise me to discover I fit the spectrum. It was very difficult for me to sit still and be focused for very long, and I was prone to weird behavior as a type of stress release valve after having been subjected to those circumstances for too long.

This sets the stage for a particularly fun afternoon in second grade. We were having a pizza party as a reward for something or another; my memory fails me. My friends had gotten up to get another slice and I was content to sit by myself while they got in line, singing the "fart" song. This was nothing more than me tunelessly singing "fart fart fart fart" over and over again. Of course, the class priss, and known tattletale, just had to be walking down my aisle at exactly that moment. I looked up, still singing my silly little song, and looked her dead in the eyes as I proclaimed "fart fart fart fart".

She naturally assumed I was calling her a fart and stomped off to the front of the room. Being the naive little thing I was, I'd not realized what I had done. I was not calling her a fart, she just got caught up in the general vicinity of my manic revelry. But she tattled on me! I looked up just in time to see the old, knotter-hair teacher storming down the aisle towards me. She grabbed me by the ear and hauled me out into the hallway to yell at me. I still had no real idea what I'd done and was too shocked by the way my teacher behaved to speak up in my own defense.

I was allowed to come back in after a while and sat there quietly, beet-red with shame, for the rest of the afternoon.

DarthHazard
Sorry to hear that. I wouldn't call that embarrassing to be fair, more like an unlucky moment in your life. The teacher grabbing you by the ear sounds awful, if that ever happened over here then the teacher would probably have got fired 100% and not be allowed to teach ever again. If everyone else was singing the song as well, could you not have just explained it.

Are you sure you want to delete this post?

galegatling
Oh I wouldn't call that embarrassing but that is a terrible thing rather! I understand that you were young and defenseless but didn't you tell your mom or dad about it? Even so, the teacher shouldn't react like that because whatever a student or a child does they shouldn't be pulled by the ear or yelled at. :/ We don't even know how many students she has yelled at and probably has harmed and probably they are warned not to tell anyone even their parents or else..

The same with you, I've had a lot of embarrassing moments in my life. But one thing I could never, ever forget is when I was still in grade school. I was walking down the school grounds - I think I was heading towards the room for the science classes. There were a lot of people around, and one of my crushes (yes, I had many) was just around the periphery. The funny thing is I tried to look cute and cool at the same time, and didn't look where I was walking. So yes, I continued doing that in the hopes that my crush would somehow notice me, and guess what? He actually did notice me...

...all because i bumped into a pole.

Everyone saw how my forehead kissed the metal pole and of course they laughed.

I ran home crying that day - not because I felt embarrassed that everyone laughed at my own misery, but because my crush saw me make a fool of myself.

OH WELL. One embarrassing moment in your life?

Are you sure you want to delete this post?

Oh my. That really does suck; although, it does make me chuckle, I must admit, to my shame. It is especially terrible when you blow it in front of a crush. Did you ever end up going out with that person anyway? I would have thought you were cute, lol. Anyway, I have done stuff like this so many times. I am a natural-born klutz, that's for sure, so I am adept at making an ass of myself. My last name is Milford, and instead of Murphy's Law, my girlfriend says there is something even worse: Milford's Law.

Wow, I feel sorry that you had to go through this! It must have been hard for you. I also had an embarrassing moment when I was in school. I was told to speak on stage, but the problem was whenever I spoke in public, I stammered. So when I went on the stage, I stood there without saying a word. I was very anxious and everyone was staring at me. After nearly a minute had passed, I could utter some words. But I stammered in between what I said, and I didn't know whether people understood me. I could hear some girls laughing at me, and that made me feel terrible. After I was done speaking, I hustled out of the stage feeling ashamed of myself. That was a moment I would never forget!

We all have that one or more embarrassing moments in our life. I think it's more challenging if we have this kind of experiences. Without these moments or experiences, our life would be, well, boring base from my own perception. I also had a lot of troubled times which makes me want to hide anywhere else every time I remember all those experiences. It might be embarrassing but it also serves as a lesson for us to be more careful in taking our actions.

When I was in the public bus, I noticed some guys where staring at me . I thought something was wrong with my hair or my bra strap was showing. However, least as I was expected, I didn't realized that my jeans zipper had slipped down, opening half, showing my blue underwear. It was obvious and so embarrassing

I have had this happen to me, as well, as a guy. This is embarrassing, but it's not like you were doing it on purpose. I think people can be pretty cruel too when you have your embarrassing moments, and I seriously can not stand to be stared at. I usually turn bright red and feel my ears get hot if I perceive that someone or others is persistently staring at me. I am 45 years old and can still blush.

Yes, it is so embarrassing that you just wanted to dig a hole and bury your head in it. Just don't know where to look at since you knew that people are knew what had happened. if they could just give a head up, you know just a reminder of the same sex, it would be better to ease the embarrassment.

I am just like you in that I have had so many that I don't even know which one to pick. I guess the most recent one I can recall is when I recently fell and busted my ass in front of a whole school bus of high school football players and cheerleaders. It had been raining, and it was early in the morning. I was walking out of a hotel with my girlfriend, carrying all of my luggage and wearing slick dress shoes. I was already off balance because of the heavy bags, and right when I stepped on the wet brick outside the door, I started slipping. I tried to do some crazy contorted dance to keep from falling, but it did not work, and I crashed down hard as hell on the wet brick. Meanwhile, a bus full of kids started howling and laughing at me uncontrollably, and I had to pick myself up, with my girlfriend's help, and do the walk of shame to our car. It wasn't too pretty, let me tell you. She said that I turned beet red, and I actually hurt my back and tore up both of my knees.

Hahaha! Contorted dance! XD More like distorted one by the looks of it. I can really imagine how you felt during that time. That has probably happen to me once or twice or I guess many times because I couldn't remember! Good thing nothing serious happened to you.

Busting my ass in front of my girlfriend was one thing, but having a whole bus of REALLY LOUD kids laugh at me was humiliating icing on the cake. It was like being back in high school again in the worse nerd way. However, at least I did not crack my skull open or shatter my elbows, etc.

There haven't been too many embarrassing things happen to me recently to be honest. I think the most embarrassing thing happened quite a while ago. It must have been around 6-7 years ago. It had been snowing extremely hard the day before and the floor was extremely icy. I was walking towards school and I must not have been concentrating on what I was walking on because I just slipped and slid for a bit. It wouldn't have been too bad except for the fact that there were so many people around me just laughing.

I don't actually remember anyone laughing when I had this, the most (or one of the most) embarrassing moments of my life. I was pretty young, maybe eleven or twelve and I was perusing the adult section of the Prince George public library. This in itself was something for people to take notice of as most kids my age still chose to go downstairs to the relative comfort of the kids library. As it were, I must have eaten something exceptionally gassy for lunch that day because as I was picking through a selection of novels, I felt the unmistakable urge to fart. And I'm not talking your run of the mill putt putt putt type fart, I'm talking the hydrogen bomb of all farts, a really stinky gasser that would be doomed to linger in the aisles for minutes if not more. Knowing that it was coming, I quickly chose a plan of action, I would outrun the smell and the noise and no one would know that the culprit was me. I began to make good my get away when it started. First it was a simple ripping noise, kind of like when you tear an old pair of pants, then as I continued through the aisles, clenching my butt cheeks together with all the strength I could muster, it started to explode in short bursts, more like slowed down machine gun fire. I desperately duck walked my way through several aisles this way, the sound and the smell following me. Though I do not recall anyone laughing, I do recall some rather disgusted looks on a few faces when the smell assaulted their noses in what were by that time, empty library aisles. I was too embarrassed to look around to see if anyone was pinning the sound and smell on me but I am pretty sure that I did not escape without notice. Anytime I go to a library now I think of that day and laugh to myself. Oh the vanity of youth, if only I knew that that was mere practice for what lies ahead in old age.

As I go about reading your post, it looks like a criminal scene and a very serious one. It's like something is about to go down and people are really intrigued on how it will go down for real. Now the best thing about this is this bomb is a fart. Not the plot-twist you are looking forward to but that was a good laugh for sure. Good times.

The most embarrassing moment I ever experienced and can't help to be forgotten was during I was in a mall. Due to the reasons that I love watching Korean Dramas I watch it in a mall and surrounded by people because that was a weekend. When I watch it through a headset, there's a scene which is too funny and I suddenly laugh out loud and keep laughing.I wasn't able to determine the level of my voice because I was too absorbed in watching and at the same time I'm wearing a headset, suddenly a person talks to me and told me to keep my voice not too loud because I'm disturbing the people around me who is talking. I turned red and never imagined I must have laughed too loud. Afterwards, I stop watching it and opted to just watched it at home.

Oh man, I have totally done this before, but with music, and suddenly I am singing, in my terrible singing voice, way too loud and getting stares. In other words, I totally identify with this embarrassing moment. Also, sometimes I will be singing and totally rocking out, in my own awkward way, and then realize that someone is standing there watching me, my roommate or whatever, and then we both break out laughing. You just have to remember not to take yourself so seriously, I guess.

My most embarrassing moment was a couple of years ago. I was somewhat of a heavy drinker in my late teens/early twenties, and I would often go out to bars and clubs, especially during the summer, and just get completely wrecked. Usually this ended well though. I would arrive, get drunk with the buddies, and go home in the early morning to sleep it off. Well, one night it didn't go as well. I had far too much to drink, far too quickly. I was standing at the bar and completely lost all motor skills, which ended up in me knocking a bunch of beers over. The bouncers had it with me, and I got thrown out, but not before I accidentally knocked myself into their glass door, shattering it. I then tried to stumble my way back home, only to trip a couple of yards from the bar and pass out in the street.

I hit my head pretty hard on the way down, and thankfully I was with caring friends who were more concerned for me than ashamed, but it still felt very embarrassing to look that way in public. Needless to say, that event turned me into a responsible drinker. In fact, I don't drink at all anymore.

I think one of my most embarrassing moments was when I thought one of my college professors was in love with me. She acted in a way that made me believe there was something she wanted me to find out. In the end, I ended up "declaring" to her and she had to undo the misunderstanding, haha!

I can laugh at it today, but at the time it was weird situation.

This sounds really funny. I've been in such situations where you won't clearly see through the kind actions of others towards you. I guess that's what happened with you and the female professor for if you knew she was just being kind and not having any special emotion attached to it, you wouldn't have gone ahead to declare your feelings to her.

Yes, it was the classic case of confusing a good education / an over attention (after all, we were like close friends) with a feeling that had no reason to exist.

In the end of the day, poor me... Haha!

One of most embarrassing moments in my life was a few years back. We hung out with my friends at the bar. When the bar closes we bought beers at the convenience store to continue the drinking session at my friend's house. So, here came at my friend's house. We had a very nice and enjoy house party. We were dancing, singing and laughing at each other. Then, I felt like I need to go to the bathroom. Without even myself knowing that I already took off my shirt and pants and underwear in front of all of my friends. They were kinda laughing because I keep dancing naked. The worst thing was I almost pee beside the fridge. And it made the crowd so enjoy and indeed was a memorable moment in my life. Good thing my friends were all nice, they gave me my shirts and took me to the bathroom. Now, I'm still laughing every time I can remember that day.

Hahahaha! One of the most embarrassing moments of my life is the time when my quarterly exams were ongoing. While taking my test on Science, I suddenly felt slight pain on my stomach. I thought it was just something that wouldn't be repeated again. But after about 2 minutes, I felt the pain once again, and it kept happening all over again. I was irritated because I wasn't able to focus on the test I was doing and then, one of my classmates noticed me that I wasn't comfortable. He asked me, are you okay bro? I nodded. So we both continued our test while I was hiding the pain that's living on my stomach.

Yes! The unexpected happened. I felt a rush on my stomach that lead me to a big, loud fart.

And, everybody was shocked and laugh as I embarrassed myself.

Hahaha! I can relate to this. I have an embarrassing moment too. It happened when I was in high school. I was so angry that time. Negative thoughts are running through my head. I was having a serious talk with my friend regarding my feelings of anger in a very quiet place. The atmosphere is very serious while I am having my moment. While I was at the middle of talking, I suddenly farted. Hahaha! It happened out of the blue. My friend and I laughed a lot and it made me forget about my anger.

This funny moment just gave me a reminder that we should destroy negative thoughts when they first appear. This is when they are at their weakest. That simple fart destroyed the negative thoughts I have. I ended up not having my whole day ruined. Thanks to that fart. Hahaha!

The most embarassing moment in my life was when I was a first year highschool student or seventh grader. This was the most awaited time of the year, Christmas time! and all of us in our school were busy preparing for the upcoming Christmas party. I love dancing that's why I joined the Christmas dance contest in our school. But that time I don't know why we were practicing our groovy dance steps beside a canal outside our teacher's office. That moment I can still recall the song that I was dancing on, it was entitled Asereje. That song was popular that time and when I was in my exaggerated dance moves, I accidentally slipped on the canal beside me, and my socks and legs were full of mud. I was so embarrased when I stood up from a canal full of mud. My concern was that if my crush was watching us, luckily he wasn't!

I've been someone that always relate with friends, family members, those that I have met online and even those that claims to know me. So, there was a day that I was going down a street and saw someone that looks perfectly like a friend that I have on Facebook and at that moment, I waved my hands with smiles to greet only to receive a stony face in return. It was later that I came to realize that that was his twin brother and not him. It was an embarrassing moment for me that day.

My most embarrassing moment was when I was about 8 or 9 years old. I was at a pizza place with my parents and I accidentally walked into the ladies bathroom and used it and a lady seen me coming out and told my parents. I understand. It happens a lot. And the worst part about it is that it can happen more than once... to anyone.

One embarrassing moment in my life was when I told a joke and no one laughed. There was this event in a fun program where they were asking for volunteers to go tell a joke. No one was brave enough and so I taught why not try?

I regretted it as soon as I did it.

I walked up to the stage with no joke prepared. And there were like more than 30 people in the room. They were anxious for me. But I kind of just said something about spaghetti that left them silent.

It was so quiet that everyone stared for more than 3 secs. They would've stared longer but the host was kind enough to intervene and move things along. Still somewhat haunts me to this day.

Haha, that's very funny, I would pay anything to just see the expression on your face the moment you were caught in the ladies rest room instead of the males own. I believe that your still being a kid was the reason why the lady didn't scream.

One experience that I couldn't get out of my head was one day I over ate my favorite food - beans. I was so disturbed that day, to the extent that I even cried. My stomach couldn't allow me seat down or stand up or lay down. It was such a frustrating day in my life.

I have a number to count but too hard to recall. In every age developmental stage, I go through, there was always more the one embarrassing experiences that I had to acquire. In school, at home and even in the church. But one that I won't forget is singing on the stage. It was a TV program for a noontime show. I was with two other girls and then suddenly a fly landed on my face. I was surprised and instantly tried to slap it away from my face. I saw the guests wanted to laugh. I was so embarrassed.

Mine was when I was a kid. To make a long story short, my building repairman had removed a plexi-glass from the buildings front door to replace it. It had become old, worn and scratched up. So the door had a big empty panel where the plexi-glass was. I'd jump through the empty panel every time I came downstairs to go outside. Sometimes I'd jump through it three times. Once out, once back in, and then out again.

Well, one day. The repairman had finally installed the new plexi-glass - And like any new glass it was as bright, shiny and clear as a bell. So clear in fact that I didn't even notice it was there. So I came downstairs like usual one morning and went to jump through the empty panel again. Only this time, I smacked into the plexi-glass face first and fell backwards onto the floor. Luckily no one was there to see that. I just picked myself up, opened the door, and continued on outside.

The most embarrassing moment that has happened to me was when I go on a 12hr ride on the bus with my girlfriend to fetch her brother and then bring it back to our town. What happened is when we started the journey, I felt my stomach has a war that's starting to happen and since we're on the bus, full of people, and takes hours for a stopover, I do my very best not to release the bomb as it's gonna be toxic to every passenger near me, and also, I'm with my girlfriend who is sitting next to me. You have no Idea how hard and how long I've tried to keep it inside of me for hours but unfortunately, some of it comes out and just praying that the other passengers won't smell it, especially my girl. I keep looking left and right to see who's showing signs that they're smelling what I'm trying to hide. I don't remember my girlfriend saying that she smells something in me so I think, I didn't stink. Thankfully, it's now in the past.

My embarrassing moment was back in primary school when I was 8 years old. Our English teacher made it clear that she will not allow anyone to go out for break. She also mentioned that we are big children and that we should learn to always stay in class until break time. So I was trying to hold my pee until break time. But too bad the teacher extended and when I asked for permission to go out, she told me that I should wait for few more minutes. My pee was already flowing down to my shoes and the teacher allowed me to go out only after she saw this. I swore to myself never to drink anything in the morning especially on days that teacher came to teach.

I remember my most embarrassing moments or one of it would be the incident on a fast food store where my cousins and I try to run and when I start to sprint I didn't notice the wet floor caution and the slipping thing happen. I was so embarrassed because of not that I just slipped or what, I also accidentally kicked the couples eating in front of the caution sign. And I did say sorry but the word sorry doesn't really help at all, gladly my mom did manage to buy them another set of food.

Haha, I experienced exactly this kind of embarrassment once in my life and I made a vow not to drink more than 4 bottles of beer in my life ever again. In fact, I almost quit drinking any form of alcohol after that but I found it difficult to drop tasting alcohol once in a while.

Now, I just drink with caution because it would be very humiliating getting home to my wife and kids all drunk with puke all over my body.

I've done a lot of embarrassing and stupid moments in my life but I've never regretted any of them, as it will serve as a good memory for myself. One of the huge embarrassment I made is a 'live show' in public. I am riding a jeepney (a popular transportation in the Philippines) and it was raining at that time, I really wanted to open my umbrella while alighting in the jeepney. However, I slipped, in front of the people, and there are people behind me alighting down also, and there's a van in front of me, and I'm sure that they had a good view of me falling down. Of course, to save my face, I quickly got up and walk briskly like nothing happened.
