Do you outsource your content?

Anyone who has run a simple blog website knows how difficult it is to keep up with the demand of the job. To place well in a search engine your topic of choice has to have a significant amount of related content which is also of suitably high quality that it is valuable to people beyond the business of your advertising affiliates. You need link-backs, ideally you want unique images and captions, meta tags, and social media/e-mail list support. Obviously, the expandability of this business model is pretty limited if you take a hands-on approach to each. That is why there is a robust market of content creators out there to craft hand-made posts for your sites.

So, I'm curious to know how many of you take advantage of this for your own enterprises. Have you purchased content before? Have you tried different pricing tiers, and if so, what was your experience of the quality you received from one to the other?

I don't have a blog at the moment but I am actually in the middle of developing a gaming platform that will have its own blog. I hope to write most of the content for it myself because the content is pretty easy to write (it's just gaming news and reviews). I have a few staff working for me as well who will help me from time to time to write content. Personally, I would never buy articles because I just don't see the value of buying articles for $20+. Most cheap articles are written poorly so you have to spend a decent amount of money on them which is just too much for just an article.

Preparation first before kicking off helps you know exactly what is expected of you when operating a blog. The content needed should never lack at any moment because it's what would keep your blog up and running with many visitors that would help improve your ranking. Getting staffs to help with creating of HQ content is going to be helpful in getting more content available for discussion on the blog, thereby reducing much workload for you.

I once have a blog and I prefer doing it on my own. I wanted to be true to my readers and I want the words to come from me. I don't want the concept of outsourcing. I want my blog to be me.

I have a blog and I have never outsourced my content. I think in my case I don't really have to because my topic isn't that serious so I don't really have to do much research and I write fairly quickly so I am not that pressed for time when churning out articles. I guess the ones who really need it are the people who have multiple sites or are releasing a lot of content daily. For me though, I just write on my blog as a hobby so I never needed to outsource.

The same as me. My site is based on gaming so there is not much research I have to do except to find out what the latest news is. It's a pretty easy niche to create content for so there really isn't a need to outsource the writing. Like you said, most of the people that require outsourcing are probably those that have multiple sites or sites where the niche is quite complicated.

I have been a guest blogger for one of my friends that opened a blog some time ago and I must confess that I really enjoyed working with him for he always outsources some contents to me to write as of then. That is the same I always outsource works to others as well when the works are much for me in order for me to reach the deadline.

Being a blog/forum owner I prefer to write everything myself. Because no one is going to give your website the TLC and personal touch that I give it. And also its a small blog/forum and I am trying to develop a personal relationship with my viewers and members and I don't want to cause any confusion.

I don't see anything wrong in outsourcing works to other freelancers to help out, if you get a big community. Just ensure that there is a terms and conditions guiding that.

I agree with you 100%. When you have a small blog/forum then you need to make sure that your personal touch is there because that is what some readers will be looking at getting when reading your content. When you can create a personal relationship with your readers, they are much more likely to visit and read the content on your site.

That is what I was trying to say in the sense that the visitors to a site will always look for that unique thing in your works and once you start giving out works often, they will likely detect which is not really good especially when they must have come to enjoy the things that you write.

I like this approach to the blog as well. I think it is awesome when a blogger or forum admin really cares about his or her subject matter and really nurtures the environment and community to be found and cultivated there. No one is gonna care about your subject matter and your forum more than you, so it only makes sense that you are the figurehead of the discussions there and an active presence at the forum. I frequent one of your forums, and it is obvious to me that you put a lot into it and that you are active there every day!

I appreciate the effort you put into trying to write everything by yourself, it must be a daunting task for you to do all the write up all by yourself. Although I would try and persuade you to give other members who you see that actually know what they are doing the opportunity to do some content for you as well in order to lessen the work load.

I don't really like buying content from other people because I'm a writer myself and I am capable of writing my own content and articles. I do have a blog and I do everything myself. I just think that it's the best way unless you are busy dealing with other aspects of owning a website. You can quite easily write many articles per day and if it's unknown topic, do a bit of research. It's really fairly easy Do you outsource your content?

I feel the same way, being a writer really helps in this business and when managing your own website, it helps when you are also the one personally writing the content, because it comes out more passionate and more in line with your goals for yourself and for your website.

With me it is just the opposite. I create content for requesters. I have seen my content on several sites. Obviously they get paid more for my effort. I see them posting their requests on iwriter and if you do a search you will find your content on sites that these requesters own. In a way i feel proud that I have the ability to do that.

It's good that you can create these contents. My advise is that you take out time and see how possible it is going to be for you having a blog.

I don't see anything bad in outsourcing my works. I'm quite a busy person that works both on the internet as a freelancer as well as working with a firm, so I outsource works I get from clients to my trusted colleagues in the world of freelancing to help me beat deadline given by clients.

It depends on the reason for blogging. Some writers do it so that they get an opportunity to give vent to their thoughts and emotions. Who better than the bloggers themselves could do a better job of that?

If you have less time to spare and do the content by yourself, the option left for you is to outsource the content because it's going to be a very bad thing for one's blog or forum to look dried up with content that would encourage discussion by the members of the site. But it's good to once in a while even if you are on a tight schedule to make out time and create a few contents by yourself.

I've been a guest blogger for others before, but of the two blogs that I run, I am the sole creator of the content on one of them. I think outsourcing one's work is just fine as well. The other blog I run is COMPLETELY composed of the works of others and is a compendium or collection point to showcase their work. It is by far the most popular of the two blogs, to be sure. That being said, I am not being paid, per se, by the contributors there, but, after enough material is amassed, I create an anthology of their work and then print and sell that. I have had some pretty good profit doing that practice!

I don't have a blog and I haven't experience one even though I so much love writing. But what I have known, outsourcing content in writing only demands if you are writing on something factual and specific that targets a specific audience as well. Something that could help and benefit them especially the targeted audience. Take for example a medical-related blogs, this I believe need not only have a fair share of medical knowledge but also a very large flair of expertise to be able to write a good content. This may include by one or two sanctions and that's when they are paid. Though I think there is nothing wrong with it.

I don't believe in outsourcing content personally. I have no problem with adding or bringing in a few contributors to my website once in awhile. But if I have plans to add vital content to my site, I usually do it myself.

Yeah, if you want to post something out of your comfort zone, then it's best to have other people more knowledgeable about the topic write for your website so that your credibility is higher and you no longer have to put so much effort into researching the topic.
