Content Generation Idea: Using Local Sports Teams, Events & Sponsors
If you're looking for content creation / generation ideas then have you considered writing about local sports teams, events and organizations that your company sponsors? Actually, if your business or company does sponsor any other kind of business then you should be writing and posting about them and all the good things they do anyway. But by looking at those local sports teams to the area or even country that your business runs in, that could go on to help you come up with tons of content for your blog or site and content that could pique the interests of those fans too!

Local sponsorship is good for business.
Think about it, let's say you're a local business that operates in Chelsea in London. Chelsea has lots of sports teams in many different sports from football to polo! Well if you can find out about them, and find out about sporting days each sports team is taking part in something, and then even attend it (although that's not crucial), you could write about how well that local team done, or didn't do!
You could write about how the actual game went, what players done what, who scored, who was injured, who was sent off. That kind of thing. And by doing this, that wouldn't only help you to come up with some nice content for your site but would help to improve your local rankings too. What's more, once people started seeing that you was writing about local sports teams, they would likely share your content and mention you on their own site or blog.
And your site doesn't have to be a sports site in any way what so ever to benefit from writing about local sports teams, events and sponsors! You could be a blog that sells those widgets they put in the bottom of beer cans or a keyring manufacturer! You could be any kind of site or blog in any niche at all. That doesn't matter as you're writing it because it's relevant to your business by location.
Of course, if your site or business doesn't just operate in one area, town or city of the world. You could have a completely global online business only as so many are today. But you could be the CEO of that business that has an interest in sporting events, and events and even other organisations that you are interested in or sponsor.

But you'll also show off your "community side" as well which will really help you and your business in leaps and bounds!
