Content Generation Idea: Create A Calendar Of Events
Are you a site, blog or business that participates or takes place in a lot of different events throughout the year, month or weeks that roll by? Are you someone, a person, blog or business that likes to network with other blogs and businesses? Or are you within the hospitality, event planning or even catering business and you arrange and hold events of any kind?
Then if you are and you said yes to any or all of them, then you could probably create a calendar of events as a way for coming up with content generation ideas! And all you really have to do is just think about what events you're going to be arranging or are arranging and holding, and then write a post about them.
That could be for each event before it's even come up. Talking about the reason why you're holding that event, what you're expecting to do or get from it. Who you're hoping would turn up and attend and why. Who you've sent invites to it and who you might expect will turn up and who you're thinking wouldn't and why.
And this can not only give you some great content that you can write for your site or blog. Mainly since because if you are going to be holding or arranging events of any kind, you can use them all to write about them for coming up with contnet. And some people even hold events just for this reason!
Because for some people who can't attend your events (but would like to but can't), it gives them something to read about on that event. Such as what took place, what your take away was from it. What other people done or said about it. That can give them an inside look at the event without even being there.
How to Create A Calendar Of Events?
This can be done quite easily, they can just be wrote about, putting the date and time and location that event will be held at at a bare minimum. But you would be wise to collect as much information about that event as possible and write about this too. Using bullet points to highlight some of the most important parts of it.
You could also use some kind of Event Calendar Software too. There is a big list of
Event Calendar Software here. Those are listed by how they can be used/deployed (ie; mobile/desktop) whether they support conferences, seminars, conventions etc.
And there are many free event calendar sites out there you can use as well. One such good one is
timeanddate.com/calendar/events/. Once you've set in all your event dates and what they are, you can download it as a PDF which you can then put on your site within the post you make about it for people to download and reference any time they need it.
But that's basically how you can use those events you, your site or business has planned or plans to plan, for coming up with content generation ideas!
- Do you use your planned and past events for content generation ideas?
- What other way can you use events for content generation for?
Thanks!
