Are you inspired by other people's writing?

I'm not talking about reading another person's work and then spinning it, but more like being inspired by something they've said. Sometimes, I'll read a book, newpaper or magazine article that will briefly mention something, maybe one line about something and at that point it sparks an idea in my head and I'll want to know more. This will usually be some side point the author was making but decided not to expand on. Those type of things are perfect for elaborating on in your own articles and writing and a great way to be inspired to create original content. Do you take inspiration from other people's work? If so, what are your best resources for drawing inspiration? Are you inspired by written work, books, TV, movies? Please discuss

I get inspired several times per day, in some way or another, but I didn't realized this until a few years ago actually. I obviously knew that I felt good about something I read or that I got moved by something I saw and all that.. But I didn't realize that this actually gave me inspiration for things. I suppose I didn't realize this until I wrote my first e-book. I've read literally hundreds of e-books in various niches and one day, "out of the blue" I decided to write my own so I just started to write. - At first, I thought I'd come up with this wonderful idea by myself, but in reality, it was basically due to all the e-books I've read just a day or two ago. I realized that I could do this myself, and that I could bring another perspective on things, so I did. - And that's just one example!

Oh my gosh yes!

As a recovering drug addict and alcoholic I follow some people that write things about their addiction or recovery and also often stories about mental health.

I get moved and inspired often reading these posts.

Then of course I follow a few mommy bloggers too so yes I often get inspired by things that they write.

And yes I know exactly what you mean, I am also not the type of person to read something and think it was brilliant, so I copy paste it into an article spinner LOL.

I only write my own original content and I take pride in it because it is all mine!

I get inspiration from pretty much everything, from bloggers I read and love to movies and comedians I watch and listen. I somehow try to always include my personal opinion on the subject I'm writing, maybe over 50% of anything I write is reflected off of me first.
I personally don't like spinning articles, because it's hard making something sound different but say the same thing, it gives me headaches. Much easier to just read a lot on the subject you want to write about and then create your own opinion plus main pots of information.

My honest answer to that question would be a big fat yes. Ever since I was young, I would watch a movie, and really try to understand the storyline. I would listen to great proverbs, quotes and phrases and would use them as a foundation for coming up with my own story. I would then take to my languages teachers for review and corrections. This really helped me improve, both in speaking and writing.

As I grew older, I turned to story books, newspapers and magazine articles. Well, I plagiarized the recipes, but other forms of stories, I would strive to come up with my original content.

Finding inspiration from others' works would really offer great guidance, especially for beginners.

Yes, I was first inspired to write my recipe blog after reading a Hubpages writer who wrote a very good baking cakes hub and had recommended members to write online. Initially it was hard because I know nothing about writing recipes but as I read more recipes from different sites, I learned to bake cakes and cookies myself, took photos and write my own recipes out online. Reading online is far better than reading in magazines because you can read the author's experiences and instructions which are ind details.

I am actually not a writer myself but I love writing. There are few articles that I read that really inspires me and hit me so hard. So if you're an avid reader, there would be an instance or a time when you read an article and you would really be inspired about the topic and the way it is written. Being inspired is not impossible to happen.

This goes without saying. We all inspire each other. Everything around me inspires me - even my pet Preiti plays a role. I watch how disciplined she is. I look at failures too and try to stay away from activities that could perhaps land me there. If you are only talking about getting inspired to write I think we should go further than that.

Whenever I would get to read a neatly written story or article, sometimes I get inspired that I feel like writing something similar to that. But what gets my attention is the combination of substance and writing style. There are writers who use words and terms that are not common. That gives me a hard time to understand that sometimes I have to consult that dictionary. For me, that is not a good read at all. But I have to admit that being inspired by what I had read doesn’t necessarily mean that I will write. The desire is there but I don’t easily give in simply because I don’t consider myself a good writer… yet.

I have to admit that after reading a book or an article at times I feel like knowing more about the subject. I also feel inspired to research and write on the topic. This has helped me to overcome the writer's blog and add different types of content to my blog. There are some authors whose work I really appreciate and I make it a must to read their latest books as this is something that I enjoy.

Yes, I used to become a fan in one of the article in a local news papers here in our country. I always updated about that article, Most of the story in that article is very simple actually, It's just the simple life of commuters, all the things like possible problems of the commuters based on how they walk, or stand or handle their bags. The writer looks like a critic and judgmental the way he write the story.

I am. I love, love, love reading the Huffington post because I love the writing. This is a magazines with articles from diffrent genres. I love to read the articles because of how the author uses their words. It's really like poetry. It is inspired. I dare anyone to read the Huffington post online. After reading you're stunned by the reading and the depth of analysis and the language leaves you floating. This is truly what writing is all about. I hope I write half as well as the diffrent authors.

I never thought I would be in this freelance job of doing content writing. That is why, now that I am in this job, I appreciate articles and other people's writing more than I appreciate them before. I get my inspiration from other writers and try to better my self so I could achieve the level of their expertise in writing. By reading other people's work, you are able to also get tips on how to discuss certain topics. I am a beginner in this field but I am certainly learning from other people who can already be considered a pro in this job.

I am motivated by others to also to write a certain issues because I like sharing the same view in a certain issues with others. I get to agree with their opinions and I will also add some supporting points for my point. Many of us would just go with the flow with the though of the writer. However, when I read something that opposes my views, it will also inspire me to contradict someones point.

I read broadly. I read nearly every type of book except paranormal and thrillers. Books take you to different worlds and different places. From here I get ideas for content creation. The best things about books is that authors use imaginary worlds and come up often with things that don't exist. I use this to push my audience to envision things that are not yet in existence. I find this area of my blog has a huge following because it pushes people to think and create. So yes I am inspired by other people's writings.

Yes I am definitely inspired by a writer whom I found it very good in it. I was fascinated by the good memory and imagination of a good writer. Writing is not easy task, sometimes you need lot more time and a quiet place to finish it and keep focusing of the flow of the story.

Written works and books are my sources of inspiration. Actually, I have bookmarked some sites from my competitors. Apart from their writing style, who they bring out their ideas inspires me so much.

Also, I have learned a lot from them, and their work has now influenced my writing. I can confidently say I have improved on the quality to suit the audience.
