10+ Ways to Find Inspiration for Writing: Feelings People
Hello and welcome to part 2 in my series of 10+ Ways to Find Inspiration for Writing, Being a Freelance Writer or Book Author: Feelings People's Pain Deeply. Hopefully you've read the 1st part to this and know why it's all come about and why you should be reading this in the first place! 10+ Ways to Find Inspiration for Writing: Feelings People But otherwise bear with me and keep reading anyway to find out how you can learn some writing tips for being a writer, a better writer, a more in touch writer, a freelancer writer or even book author for novels or otherwise, by being able to feel people's pain! Let me explain how exactly..

10+ Ways to Find Inspiration for Writing: Feelings People's Pain Deeply

2: Deeply Feel People's Pain
Take it from me son. If someone ever offers to take your pain away, do think twice about it because just like T. Kirk said in his Star Trek V "We Are Our Pain" speech "Pain and guilt can't be taken away with the wave of a magic wand. Those are the things we carry with us. Those are the things that make us who we are. If we lose them we lose ourselves. I don''t want my pain taken away, I need my pain!". I'll forgive you if you've never seen the film/scene. I'll YouTube it here just for some humor and to prove it if you don't believe me lol 10+ Ways to Find Inspiration for Writing: Feelings People

But so why do you need to fell people's pain deeply to be a good freelance or in house writer or author even? Well, what makes a good writer, is one that can truly relate to people and really feel the same pain they feel. So if you can't feel other people's pain, then it's likely you wont be able to truly relate to them and if you can't relate to someone and feel what they feel, then you wont be able to write about that person or subject as well as if you could.

Don't get it wrong. That's not to say you're not going to be an excellent awesome writer or author. You could be the next JK Rowling! 10+ Ways to Find Inspiration for Writing: Feelings People But even Joanne knows how to feel people's pain deeply and she reflects that in the passion of her writing. For being able to feel other people's pain on a deep level, you'll be able to relate to and better reflect that pain in your writing.

That will go on to make you a much better writer overall. I'm not talking about crying with them and being sad and depressed haha I'm just saying, some novels or real world stories have some really strong characters in them and to better reflect those characters by feeling their pain deeply you'll be able to write about them or the subject much better!

And that completes today's lesson. In the next one we'll be going even deeper down into the rabbit hole as we'll literally talk about and cover going a bit deeper in your writing by scratching beneath the surface. This can be crucial if you want to be a successful writer as people LOVE details like kids love cake! 10+ Ways to Find Inspiration for Writing: Feelings People

PS. This can be reversed! Instead of focusing on someone's pain. You can focus on someone's joy/happiness too! 10+ Ways to Find Inspiration for Writing: Feelings People

Your Homework To Do:

  • Find some one, some character, real or fictional, or even some event or something that is painful and try to connect to that pain deeply.
  • Write down ways in which it's painful to you and how you can relate to and share their/the pain in some basic words at least.
  • [Optional] Try to write some article, news story or story of any kind on something painful that you found.
In the next part of this series, you'll learn about how to scratch beneath the surface and go deeper down the rabbit hole to come up with even more inspiration and go on to make you a better writer or author. 10+ Ways to Find Inspiration for Writing: Feelings People

Thank you for this exceptional advice. It is very true one cannot express their own feelings if they cannot feel someone else's pain.

Wooh. Thank You for this advice. Though I am not a writer myself, however, I'll work hard to become one someday. Maybe I need to follow these to be able to write a good article.

It's good to have a wish in becoming a writer in the future but I wouldn't ask you to pray for something of a painful nature to befall you so that you can write from that pain using it as a motivator. There is something more powerful than the force of pain and it's called. Find love in anything that you do and chanel it's force into writing, I'm 100% convinced that you will be a more happy writer.

Thank you for sharing your good advice, I will make it as an inspiration and motivation for my day-to-day endeavors. To create a wonderful story make sure that it comes from the heart like you put all your feelings and emotions on the story. It touches people's lives like they are one of the characters.

I think it would be more effective if you are talking to someone who is confiding to you a big problem. One good example is a friend who had just broken up with a lover. That’s a very good prototype for feeling the pain. But if you will just rely on reading because that’s the only available source then you have to read for sometime so the story would sink in your mind before you can feel the pain of the character. There are good readers who sink inside the scenes of what they are reading and I'd say that's easier for an inspiration.

Thanks for this one, it's really helpful, and that's right. You will get a lot of inspiration from other people's pain. They writings will touch your heart because it's based on their own experience. You have to feel the pain sometimes for better content.

Pain is a good motivator, I know this from experience when my close friend that was more than like a brother to me died. I go so broken up real bad that I was affected emotionally and psychologically. But I found a way to harness that pain and turn it into doing something useful. My writing career kicked off immediately after this experience.

Yes, that is very true. pain is something that is felt by everybody and if you are able to feel someone else's pain then it can also help you to identify with the person in some way or the other. we all feel pain throughout our life for various reasons. Death of a loved one is an example of such a pain which will be felt and understood by each and everyone. If we don't talk about pain in our writing then our writing will always remain a bit superficial
