You can say it no better. There is a difference with creativity level with writing when you do not listen to music; I find that the writing is not as enersued as much as when listening to music. Your creativity is more flowing with the music on.

watching movies can boost your creativity; you get the sense of developing your plot of your writing because of the plot in the movie, you see what the movie is really about allowing you to create your own plot in your writting.

This is pretty true. Listening to music makes me think clearer as opposed to a quiet environment. I do get inspired especially when I listen to some epic music mix. I find it easier and am able to come with content more rapidly with music on.

Maybe I'm different since I only use music to build up inspiration before I start writing. I listen to soft songs and use it as source of motivation so that when I write, it plays on a mind to push me higher on doing better at what I write.

I love listening to music while writing but it has to be on very quietly and without too many lyrics... the best options are either one of those awesome relax/chill remix playlists that you can easily find on Spotify OR classical music. Both types inspire me while writing and I found out that I write much easier and faster if I have some sort of music playing. Also, I feel more focused. I do know though that some people find music distracting! It's funny how we all work differently Listening to Music to Find Writing Inspiration for Freelance Writers and Authors

I love listening to music while I work and study, I find that it motivates me very well! I've found that Spotify's playlist "Creamy Tracks" is a great playlist to listen to while I'm working. There are vocals on a lot of the tracks, but in general they're pretty chill electronic/indietronic tracks that can be great background music.

When I'm studying for school or doing something that requires a good amount of attention, I prefer to listen to music that doesn't have lyrics, though. Some of my favorite groups are Emancipator, Ratatat, and God is an Astronaut. Being that I do a lot of scriptwriting, I find that a lot of Emancipator's work helps inspire me to write, especially if I'm going for a slow, dark, or melancholy feel to my story.

Some people don't like to listen to music while they are at work because they say that it loses their focus and they can't keep their mindset stable since they are distracted by the sound and words coming from that certain music. As for me though, I don't feel it that way. I always listen to music if I have a chance specially if I am doing something that keeps my mind sharp and active. Sometimes I listen to loud music too.

I enjoy listening to music, but it is always tough to do so when I'm writing on a deadline for it means I need to think and research more on what I'm doing at that particular moment which is quite good for me as well.

Just as while looking at photos how we get flashbacks same is with music. If a song is picked up for a particular occasion when we hear that song again everything of that event comes floating around and there come ideas that could be worked on creating a blog or an article

Music has been one of the ways I build up motivation in writing, but I have grown to write without listening to music and it is as a result of the fact that I always seek maximum focus when I'm writing articles that I put on blogs and sites. It's not always easy, but you I've mastered that.

I think it's safe to say every writer has a playlist for every occasion. I know I do. I have separate playlists for when I am writing screenplays, articles, blogs and synopsis or log-lines. They really do inspire me to create my best work. I don't think most writers of any stripe would be able to or have been able to produce such great works without background music of some kind. Whether it be Mozart or Jay-Z. Original movie soundtracks or film scores.

Yeah, music makes me feel better and it inspires me too. Listening to music makes my nerves to calm down and I can concentrate better. When writing those type of articles that need to be submitted early, I find music to be quite destructive and so I better write them when there is silence. My favorite music is rock genre.

When I was a student, I couldn’t study my lessons without the benefit of music that’s why my transistor radio was always on my study table. Maybe that can mean that music was giving me inspiration in my studies. And for writing, music can definitely inspire you to write especially when the music is an old song that rings a bell to your emotional stockpile. Old music can inspire us with memories, particularly the good memories that we had when the particular song was popular. But it depends on the kind of music though because there are music that can ruin the concentration of a writer.

I agree with you. Any time you feel sad or unhappy, the best medicine is to play, your favorite artist and you will automatically feel better. Music is everything. It changes your environment and makes any situation bearable. I listen to music while traveling,at work, at the supermarket line . Music is life. While I'm writing this I'm listening to John Legend's latest album, Darkness and Light, because of it my work is inspired and enjoyable. I certainly agree with you, music can inspire you to write and do anything.

I like playing Bossa Nova and sometimes jazz mostly when I'm writing at night, it's soothing melodies relaxes my mind and gets me into the flow. Any album of Sitti or Harry Connick Jr with their soft voices inspires me in my writing.

Music has a calming effect on me and it releases stress, relaxing my mind and body. So I guess music does affect the mood of the person and this could translate into a more concentrated mind in which ideas would become free flowing. So I guess it does help me, that is in gaining inspiration before I write and not during my writing. It is because I can't concentrate in writing if there's music playing, I tend to lose my thoughts in it.

Music has different effects on writers. Some writers are motivated when they here music. While others can't think when music is playing. I for one belongs to the first group.

I used to be one of those writers that could not think when music was playing. I realized though that this is an indication of your level of concentration. I actually find music quite inspiring when you are writing especially when it is music that you like. Most music these day is very meaningful. It talks about society and has evolved from the days when it was purely about love. I think this can be a great content generator.

I know that people often can find a writing inspiration by listening to music. But for me, listening to music is my way is giving a mind a break from writing. Sometimes if I just stop thinking so hard and listen to some music to release my mind, after my mind has rested, I can pick up the pen again.

Music has always been a part of my life right from my childhood. I listen to music to calm down my mind if it is agitated. it also helps me to find inspiration and motivation when I am feeling low. However, I don't listen to music when I am studying or writing or working on anything important. At such times I require complete silence to concentrate on whatever I am doing

Music is the language of the soul. Music just connects to you. When you listen to music especially those relaxing music like instrumentals, it seems like your brain can think better and your way of thinking flows smoothly. It's like music clears the pathway of your mind. It also can affect your emotions. When you connect to your emotions, you can be able to write good contents because it's coming from within you.
