    Can Everyone Write Great Articles?

    Does one have to be great at writing to write great articles?

    The answer is no.

    Writing like anything else can be learned. Put in the hours and you'll almost be as good as everyone else. 

    As for writing articles, there is one simple formula which even new writers can use to create articles which people will enjoy reading. 

    First, remember, articles are written primarily to provide information about something. As a writer you need to provide all the information that anyone reading your article might want answered.

    Use your favorite search engine to find out more about the topic you are writing about. You'll see related search queries. Use those to create questions which you will answer in your article. Should you so desire, use those questions as subheadings in the article.

    Do that often and you'll consistently write better articles.

    One of my bosses once told me that when I'm writing, write as if I'm talking to the person. He said that my voice should natural. That advice worked for me!

    That is great advice. I find that when I'm reading stuff myself, I gravitate towards the stuff that makes me feel like I'm having a conversation with a friend, rather than stuff that feels stale and stuffy!

    The truth is we possess an equal abilities not only into the said topic, the only difference is the way of how we discover, polish and distinguish our own abilities. These is the reason why of how some people excel and some people sucks in a certain aspects. Like for example if you are interested in writing you tend to practice intensiveley in order to improve unlike when you know how to write but you aren't interested you tend to stay contented in what you have; that is some of the perspective that many people don't se, it is responsible of making an individual unique. That's why it's a big 'yes' all people can write a good article it depends into the people if they want to get better and persevere in writing a good one. "Hardwork beats talent" many says that and it is true, many peiple are a living proof that it is true. That's why when you evaluate your writing abilities right know and asses it you can improve your writing skills undoubtably. Being persistent is key and practice makes perfect.
    I can conclude that each person have a certain interest, hobbies, environment that help them shape of which will be the field of their expertise that they want to pursue.

    When I was learning how to write articles, I already realized that not everyone can do it even if they study seriously. I have to admit that I have difficulty in writing articles and I can only write good articles when it is about my passion. But other than that, I would say my articles are just on the average in terms of quality. I know of some writers who can write whatever the topic is. They are the gifted writers.

    I don't think that no one is given a blocked brain, everything is all about the willingness to learn and get better. So, on everyone being able to write great articles, it all depends on the individual's willingness to learn how to become a great article writer and work towards getting it done. If you don't develop your brain to be very sharp, it would as dormant and cold as ice.

    Generally we all can write a great article as long as we are eager to write something. The only problem is that we can't publish an article because of our lack of passion, interest etc. So I believe we all can but publishing is not possible for everyone.

    I totally agree with you. A person is not born an idiot. It always depends on the person's willingness to learn. I remember my teacher once told me, " Fast learners are overtaken by slow learners because of their hardwork". This has stuck in my mind since high school. Some people who are slow to catch up have become successful because they work harder than anyone. I think everything is possible as long as you put hardwork and willingness to learn together.

    Exactly! Some people have this inferiority complex and it's a very big problem because they are already put down even before they get off the ground. People just need to not only believe in themselves but work hard towards being better at writing.

    I think writing a great articles is something that you can't learned, but Yeah, you will get something like the basic steps of writings, but still, it's up to the writer if he's natural story telling person and he writes something without any pressure, specially if the article is based on its own experience.

    Nothing beats practice and the desire as well determination to succeed and become a great article writer. It's all about the efforts being made by the individual to become a good writer. There are already rules, steps and techniques, strategies one can follow in order to be a good article writer. So, when one works within the lines of those strategies and techniques, I'm very sure that he or she will become a good article writer as well.

    Yeah, all the strategies and techniques are able to learn and easy to practice to become a writer, however, Not everyone has the ability to find the best or proper words to explain their topic and not even know how to connect to the readers. Some writers just write something, because they need it and this is their source of income, unlike to others who really wanted to write because this is their passion.

    I understand your point. I once heard before that writers are born. Some people are born with the knack in writing and just have to develop it. There should be at least an interest or passion. It boils from there. It's hard to perfect a craft that you're not interested in in the first place. But practice and hard work will go along way as compared to someone who is complacent and refused to learn further.

    Yeah, you should have the strong motivation and passion in writings or else mental block will always come to you every time you write something. Some people find their motivation when they received the payment, this is why they keep pushing their self to write perfect content to get more possible clients, but this motivation will easily go if writing is not really their passion.

    Given some time, anyone can write a great article. It doesn't happen overnight. It takes experience and willingness to learn further. There are those who are really born with it or gifted and they can write great article with a breeze. But anyone can be at par if they put their mind and heart to it.

    That's right. It's a constant learning process both through some structured training course and experience. To be a great writer just doesn't happen overnight. It takes patience and hardwork. We can get to the point wherein we will gain the confidence and the authority in writing, but even in that status, there's still room for improvement or new things to learn.

    The thing about writing is that you are going to get better as you start writing. This is not something that can happen over night as we have come to realize that we have those that try to write well, but can't since they are big doing it quite well. It is an art that should be learnt and not forced.

    My answer is no. Not everyone is gifted to be given this kind of skills and not everyone loves writing so you can't force someone to master this field without passion in it. It should have passion and interest. Maybe everybody can write but not all folks can create great articles.

    I also agree that writing can be learned. With enough practice, anyone can write like a pro. Doing it regularly will teach you techniques on to easily write your piece. You will see that the more you do it, the faster you are able to finish. It would also depend on how willing and determined the person is on learning how to write great articles.

    I believe that everyone can write great articles. Just like everything else it can be learn through constant writing and reading. It is not easy but if you give your all, time and effort, we can be great in what we do. I also think that writing what's in your heart and mind, making your article or story a reflection of you, it will be great. Writing is an expression of oneself.     I think to be a good writer a person should have experience and skills. Writing is not about words and creating alone, its a passion that has improved through the years.     I agree. Everyone can write great articles or any writings but it needs time, practice, patience and passion to be a good writer.     I don't think everyone can do it - and I also think that it depends on the content matter as to whether or not someone will do justice to it. I like writing in a more relaxed style, but my husband is an academic and writes in a more formal style. I couldn't do what he does, and he struggles to do what I do. Balance!

    Writing Good Articles can be taught and learned by anyone who has a knack in writing. What I mean is that a person can't write great articles if he doen't really want to write or if he's just forcing himself to write. Great Articles are done with passion and if the writer is not passionate in writing then he can't write great articles.

    Yeah i agree, that is also my thought. Articles could be interpreted as good and bad depending on the reader mainly because the topic maybe interesting or not to the reader. It somehow goes to the writers skills, if a writer is experienced enough he/she could have the upper hand in creating a good article.

    My perspective on the matter might be slightly controversial, but hear me out.

    I’m a firm believer in the idea that being good at something is 10% talent and 90% practice. Being talented doesn’t amount to anything unless you put in the time and effort. However, that 10% talent is going to make a big difference when it comes down to how easy or difficult your practice is going to be.

    Take playing an instrument, for example. I’ve always had a talent for playing the guitar, so developing my skills was fairly easy with practice. My friend, on the other hand, didn’t have a talent for musical instruments and therefore always had a much harder time practicing. That is, until he became sufficiently experienced enough to the point where skill began to negate talent.

    Talent has a lot to do with how quickly you can get your engines started, but practice is what gets you to the destination. The issue for a lot of people is that if they lack the talent, the practice might be too difficult/long and therefore they're prone to giving up early. However, that isn't necessarily bad because they might go off and find something they're genuinely talented at.

    I believe on you that not everyone could write the best article. We were born with different skills and for that everyone of us has their own strength and weaknesses. About the writing skills,it is not just learned, it is a skills. People could learn but still having a skills in writing has something different.

    Writing articles can be learned but writing great articles is something that only gifted person can do. Everyone can write good or simple articles but I have a belief that there is a skill which is hard to learn and this expertise was not given to everybody. I understand that there are training and practice for every skill but there is also a fact that some people were born to be a great writer and don't need these pieces of training.

    Yes, you do not need to be great to be great in writing. Articles that are genuine and based in personal experience is I think much greater than other articles. As long as you can connect to your readers you are a great writer. Make an article where most people can relate too.

You don't have to be great, you just have to provide their needed information with your best efforts.     Anyone can write a great articles as long as they have the proper ingredients to finish it. One should know what they really want to accomplish, at least they already have a begging and ending on their mind. They should enjoy writing and also they must consider the reaction of the readers if it will attract them or not. Just keep in mind that readers are the judges.

    I agree that the concern for the readers is the most important element because your article will be useless if no one will read it. I remember a writer in the movies who said that you should always think of the audience when you are writing the script because you are writing not for yourself but for them. When your article is not palatable to the general public then your time has been wasted.

    I agree that writing is a talent, however it can also be a skill. I think that you can learn to write and write adequately. Your writing may never be termed as a great but it will get the job done. I think that people who like to read make the best writers because they have a lot to write about and they have a way with words. With a bit of effort everyone can write a good article, but not a great article, that takes both talent and skill.

    One thing that I have learn in life is you can be talented but that can be nothing if you dont work hard for it. I believe that to be a great writer is a very relative word. You can be famous and be a multi-awarded writer for the eyes of everybody but what if you are not? Greatness doesn't need to be known by the world. Greatness is when you do your craft passionately. Greatness starts when you believe in yourself and push yourself to do your best. If ever your work is not recognized, it doesn't mean that you are not great. You are great because you tried.

    Well my view on this is that there's no writer that can produce perfect articles all the time. Sometimes good writers produce not so good or standard articles and sometimes writers even write bad articles so it really depends on the writers mood and writing talent.

    I believe that everyone can really write great articles if one is only dedicated to do it. I know that writing great articles really needs a lot of patience and passion in order to do it. Sometimes through experiences one can make great articles from it because experiences are really a great source of knowledge and ideas that are really unique and useful in anyways. So we must just be wise and creative in everything that we do for us to achieve what we want.

    A great article can be written by a person which has extensive experience on a topic or a niche that he's an authority on or something he's passionate with. In my opinion, if none of these conditions are met then he cannot write a great article.

    I can relate to what you said because I am not a writer and I had no idea that I could write articles. And that writing of mine was discovered when I was invited to submit blogs about dogs. That's my passion and although I had no experience in writing, I was excited to write because I want to express myself in that niche. You can imagine the hardship in my first articles but later on I got the drift simply because the motivation to write was strong enough to overcome the lack of skills.

    When it comes to any form of writing, you need a lot of practice. If we're referring to writing articles specifically, the hardest thing is probably to make things that you produce "natural". It shouldn't be overly complicated, fresh, innovative, and most often it helps if you develop your own style of writing that separates you from the rest.

    I totally agree with Jeane. Some are being perfectionist but we admit and understand that this is not possible at all times. Some write using deep or meaningful words and some are straight to the point answers. We are all different, everyone has our style in writing on how we start the topic. Its a gift I say. Though we write it deep or simple, I both consider it great articles. Because what matters most is writers write from the heart.

    Yes. I agree to the say that everything can be learned if it is given time and effort. Writing is easy like talking. Like talking, we tend to say more things if we know what topic is being talk about. We share what are our thoughts on it and like to inform and entertain people who listen to what are we saying. I can say it is similar to writing but in this case we have a different medium. In writing we express our thoughts through written words. Although, we are all have a different approach in writing and the final jury of it would be still our readers.

    As the saying goes that practice makes perfect, people just need a lot of time to be able to be good at something. Our efforts would not be vain as some people would appreciate our work. The time for us to shine could be a little late compared to someone and we just need a little patience to wait for it.

    Average writers are also capable of producing great articles. In particular, topics that require technical information or fields that use specialized terms don't require word-savvy writers but people who have specialized skills in those professions. I'm an average writer but I can produce articles that provide useful information to readers. However, my work will pale in comparison when read side by side with the work of a skilled wordsmith who can provide the same level of informative content.

    As for every one being able to write great articles - no, I don't think so. We are all wired differently and given the same training and practice hours, we will not develop in the same pace nor achieve similar results.

    Yes, I agree. Not everyone can make a great article. But it depends how the writer conveys his/her message to his/her readers and how creative he/she is to construct a paragraph or a content that is so easy to understand and how substantial as well. You know there are some articles that are very well-written in form but the content is not that good and substantial, and also there are some articles that aren't much well-written but it has actually a potential to become a great article because the content is really interesting and it is just happened that the writer didn't just constructed his/her thoughts well.

    I always that the quality of your writing depends on how much you read or are aware of the current culture in your Country and around the world. If you listen to news, follow the popular debates on social media e.t.c . This will affect the quality of the content that you can produce. Most people argue that they can produce articles by research and that is true, but the quality and perspective will depend on your knowledge of current affairs.

    I agree with you, anyone can learn to write, its a skill that some may have difficulty with but in the end would also be worth it. I would like to also point out that in writing articles, it must also be timely, meaning that the article is up to date and not only that but also captivating, I believe that the first sentences of the article are the ones that help propel the article, yes I know that tone should make the whole article amazing and put some effort into it but I'm trying to say is that give extra effort for the first sentences because its the first thing that the reader sees so make it the best or one of the best part of your article.

    Practice, practice, and more practice. To be good at something, surely you need to invest a lot of time and effort to learn it. Success does not happen overnight. Nevertheless, there are a few people who are naturally gifted and are great with words from the moment they knew how to write. I utterly admire those people and wish to be like them.     Writing is a skill. All skills can be learned and like you said with the proper dedication, one can be a great writer. We have seen throughout history the different backgrounds of great writers. Some have no proper training, some with no proper education, most are self-taught and even those who are least likely to produce substantial pieces.

    I love that you have emphasize research on the topic of an article. Knowledge and experience are great leg ups in producing your best written work. And a very nice and easy formula to follow in writing an article. Useful and practical.

    Writing great article takes time and practice. Although everybody can write great articles, not everyone has the patience, perseverance and dilligence to study the art of great article writing. Being a writer cannot be achieve overnight. It takes years of experience in writing and continous learning to be able to achieve proficiency in writing.

    It depends on what your definition of a good article is. As for me, I think every writer is capable of writing a good piece. Different people have different ways of doing things and expressing themselves. This makes it possible for anyone to excel in their area of expertise and really do an awesome job. The only problem is usually when someone does not know what their niche is, and they turn out poorly written work.

    Every one can write a great article. It has to be something really interesting and actual. Something like "North & South - will there be peace?" (about North and South Korea).
    It other way, you can ask advise by using tutoriage. There you can find real professional writers, who can do your paper till dead-line. Surely you will get unique and plagiarism free work.

These are the distinguished authors and novelists who's works have become besrsellers as well as writers of various publications who have won numerous awards or have garnered millions of readers and fans.

    I agree with you completely. As in every field , in writing too one learns with experience. The more you give your time and hard work , the more you are able to polish your skill . Well, anyone who has the ability to consistently keep on learning about his skill and craft of writing can become a successful writer eventually . The key is to never give up and continue to do your best .

    I do believe that everyone is gifted. But, I don't believe everyone can write great articles. It has been known to humanity that we have multiple intelligences. A person may not be good in the field you're good at, but he definitely excels in his own different way. Some people may not write great articles as you, but they may also be bodily-kinesthetic, musically-inclined, logically gifted, etc.

    This is just like everything else, it's not "rocket surgery" as my uncle used to say. With enough time, practice, and the occassional bad review or brutally honest feedback, we can get better and be at par with the best. Maybe not all the time, but there's that one article we will write that we'll say, I could not have written this any better. Heck, no one could have done better!
