Do you write things that are influenced by real life scenarios and stories?

Whenever you write are there times when you feel like you have experienced something that you need to share with other people. I know of several stories that I have written which were adapted from things that I had faced and even turned some articles into reflective stories.

I am not a writer and I only learned to write articles when someone invited me to submit blogs about dogs. I am a dog lover so I had the courage to try not really for writing but just to express my passion. It so happened that I could write in English and I needed just some polishing for my output which was provided by the blogger. My articles were mostly stories based on my experiences. It is so easy to describe a scenario that you had experienced especially those events that remain vivid in your mind. I enjoyed writing blogs just because I was writing from my experiences.

I agree with you. We need to write articles that the readers can also relate with you. I think its great to write about real stories and real life scenarios.

Yes, we have to so that we don't let others to be confused about what they are seeing or reading.

That is fantastic I have written on several blogs as well about businesses and more so the hardships that one faces as they try to set up and make in the enterpreneurship hub. It is always important to share and motivate others so that they can be able to put more effort.

I agree with you, it is easier than a make up story or an article that had source from other articles.

It is also easier to write about an experience that you had than when you are making up staff that you either read or are based on other people's experiences. You can recall things easily and people will flow with your emotions if you know how to bring them out well in the article.

Yes I honestly sometimes write some articles regarding on real events or scenarios that happened to me since I want other people to know and to relate about it. It feels good to see that other people can easily understand and convey from your experiences since there are some time that other people are also sharing about their real life experiences after reading my articles which is really great.

It's good that you are sharing life experiences with others. I haven't really written any article about me nor my experiences. I only write those in my journal. Most of what I write are about subject matters that other people ask me to do.

It is better to share and write your own experience since you know what you felt t the time, unlike when you are writing an article about other people and you'll just guess the way he/she felt at the time.

Your feelings matter more and their expression is actually very important. You ought to make sure that you use every channel and opportunity to let them out as it shows that you can teach the world something too.

Writing one's own experience is usually more engaging and realistic. I usually write something that are dearest to me be them from experiences from daily activities, readings or observations. Sharing one's thoughts is considered contributing to the society and it is something that is welcome by all as they are considered genuine and unique.

Yes, it is more believable too since you were really there when it happen and the contents are based on what you felt and what you have seen and not just from the other articles from the internet.

Sometimes yes I write things that are influenced by my own real life experience or based on true stories. I find it easier to write if I include something which I have an experience. Even when I want to read other works, sometimes writers include real life experiences and true story scenarios to inspire their readers. It is just like when someone does video blogging about travel, the vlogger goes himself/herself to the place that he/she wants to introduce to the viewers.

Are you sure you want to delete this post?

Youngshark
OOOH yeah the vloggers do get into the action and this helps to make them more relevant and their content is more relatable. If they teach about cooking then they would not be sitting around but doing the action in the kitchen and thus helping those watching to get more familiarised with the video content.

I have written stories that were inspired by what actually happened. For example there is this one story about a cannibal who got caught when cops who thought someone was ferrying drugs, looked through everyone's luggage. What they found in one brief case, they'll never forget.

Anyway, I used that as the core premise of a horror story I wrote once.

Creating 3D characters isn't easy so to give my characters depth, for a number of the minor characters I'll initially use the names of people I know. Makes it a lot easier to write their dialog lines.

Many novels are inspired by news stories or real life events, and that's why when you study an author you often can see themes in their choice of topics and the issues they delve into. I do use characters that I have met or known and mix them up to create my own character. Often an author use their own characters and experiences which is why some works are more personal and cathartic for them.

I like to listen to others talk, and sometimes get inspired by their tales. The important thing is not to betray a confidence which is why names and places need to be changed and to make subtle adjustments to the tale.

The thing with novels is that a majority of them are fiction or based on stories that have been passed down over time.

Definitely yes, I do write things that are influenced by real life scenarios. I find it helpful to write precise and realistic thoughts coming from experience than knowledge. In this way, I am able to talk comfortably as I've been in that situation and I can assure my readers that I know what I'm talking about. I also think that writing stories from real life situations makes the readers feel more engaged to it.

Trus my friend. The reflections can also be great if you can help others in that you can teach them a lesson or help them deal with something they have been struggling with just by reading about your own experiences. Always do share when you can .

Yes I do. I wrote stories about successful marriages and relationships of the people I've known personally. I wrote these to inspire other people to trust God in that aspect of their lives. I want to encourage them to let God be the foundation of their relationship. Many marriages and relationships failed because they don't really put God as the foundation of their relationship. So I use these stories from true people to give them hope and inspiration that it is still possible for someone to have a successful and lasting relationship.

I do that as well because if you share a thing that is not real and did not happen in real life, people who are reading your article might get confused.

I think that I would have to disagree with you on this about always having to write about what happened in one's real life before your readers can understand without getting confused. Are you aware of FICTION WRITING? It's all made up writing and people still appreciate it.

I write a lot about my personal experiences. After all, it's a lot easier to write about things you've gone through or done, and can easily recount. For some things I do incorporate other stuff into my writing, but for the most part yes - it's all based on things that have actually happened to me or things I've done in my life.

Are you sure you want to delete this post?

Martinsx1
Exactly! Getting to write based on your personal life experiences will always make you feel like reliving what you already passed through, so it's going to be very easy for you to write it down unlike when you are writing another person's experience or something based on fiction.

Yup! Most of the time when I write about my own experiences, it's also a very quick writing process. That's another benefit about writing from your own personal experiences. It doesn't seem to take as long, so if something is time-critical for submission it's nice to be able to crank out an article quickly! I'd been thinking about writing a children's story for a long time but there was one thing which stopped me all the time. Would children like this story?

A few days ago whilst reading Tom Sawyer, I finally got my answer. Twain says the book tells the stories of things which actually did happen (with some embellishments of course). Mine was an interesting childhood too. It would be easy to loosely tell fictional stories that related some of the more interesting things that happened back then. And that is exactly what I'm going to do.

Most of my stories are influenced by real-life scenarios and stories, it is much easier to write because of that you just need to twist some things a little bit to make it more exciting. Besides, you can get a lot of ideas by the stories of people you met. It is a great way to level up your writing.

As a student, we sometimes get instructed to make a reaction paper on documentary films. There are times that I write my realizations on what I have watched or what I felt as I watch the film. Of course, my work, having based on documentary films are influenced by real life scenarios and stories. I am not entirely a writer that makes stories, novel, etc, but I am capable of expressing my emotions or thoughts through writing. It makes it even easier to write if you are going to base your work on true to life stories.

I write a lot from my own experience. Sometimes I wake up and think about something I experienced and it turns into a piece of wrting later in the day. Today I woke up thinking about some work place bullying I once experienced and how I had not recognised it as such. Sometime today there will be an article.

I always do, once I've written a fiction short story about a daisy and a bird, but it was a metaphor of me and my best friend. It might sound like a fiction but the story of the daisy and the bird is based on our story.

Writing from real life experience, is the best writing you'll ever do. This solves the problem of searching for ideas / content ideas which is a problem so many writer deal with. This is called writing from the heart easier to put pen to paper and even so motivated to write. It also takes you a shorter time to write a piece. You don't have to spend hours doing research on Google or on other search engine. You're also most likely to produce original work because it's from personal experience. Best way to write in my opinion.

When I started working online as a freelancer, I had difficulty with trying add new content to several blogs and forums which I participated in but one of the site owners advised me that the best way to having the work so easy would be to coin in my life experience in my articles. Ever since that day, it's been my favorite routine.

Yes. Most of my wattpad novels are actually inspired by my life stories like the experiences I had during High School. Those experiences are actually experiences that I couldn't disclose with my friends and family and so the only way for me to let go of them is by writing about them and making fictional conclusions/endings that, fortunately, have made me satisfied and a bit relieved because at least I was able to make a closure even if it's one sided. Real life stories are actually very good stories and I prefer to read them more than the fictional ones, although most of the authors nowadays create fusions of reality and fiction with their stories.

I find it easier and faster to write based on a personal experience, no matter how remotely related it may be to my article. My writing becomes fluid, natural, and spontaneous. A long time ago, I read Stephen King's "On Writing" and I remember reading something about this topic of yours. He shared that on certain levels, and that happens more often than he cared to remember, his work is always based on his personal experiences. Now that's coming from a suspense/horror fiction writer, how cool and disturbing is that!

If given the opportunity, I would. It's a lot easier to write based on experience as the storytelling would come more naturally. Words will flow much easier as compared to when telling a fluid, fictional story. It's more difficult to write about something you didn't experience because you will need to imagine the complexity of that fictional moment very well or base it off someone else's account, else it would feel unrealistic. It's the same as how we find ourselves having difficulty on foreign topics that we have minimal knowledge about, while we engage spontaneously with content that we find relatable,

you do not actually have to wait for such an opportunity to present itself. All you need to do is look for sites or areas that you can practice writing such content and start then see how well you will do. you will be amazed that It might be some sort of a stress reliever.

Yes of course, I have written so many articles, poems and books which were directly influenced by my life experience. These experiences serves as a propelling force pushing me to complete the work.

I can remember writing a poem with a sudden rain that fell on one 31st December one particular year after which we had a change of presidential election.

Yes, I think that I think you do that many times when you are writing content. If one has something very interesting or entertaining to share about his life then it makes sense to share it and create a good quality content out of it for the audience. I think that even while writing on any specific subject we always try to relate it to our own experiences and come with the relevant content. The reader will always feel close to you when you are sharing your own experiences in an effective manner.

I think by default, writers write from their experiences. Even if they don't mean to, the only perspective you could possibly have is one from your own life. It also tends to make things more believable if you're writing from your own thoughts and feelings than if you're manufacturing someone else's reaction to an experience you've never had. That can easily come off very forced and unrealistic.

Are you sure you want to delete this post?

This is true as most of the writers are geared towards making contents based on what they feel that matters to them. I always look at making contents from the experiences that I have had in life as there is no other person that can tell about my life better than I can do.

I think that most writers do not share or write some articles based on their real life experiences for some very distinct reasons, I understand why they are doing such things maybe because they want to have a sort of privacy that is they do not want to share something about their life or achievement in the past years of their lives. Most of the time writers only make an article based on subject matters which is one of the trend in writing nowadays.

Are you sure you want to delete this post?

Youngshark
Privacy is a thing that is always priced by numerous people but it is also dependent on the audience and the content that you write. If you are into motivational staff then one way or another you will have to tell stories that can touch and inspire people.

My articles are always mixed with life experience and and a bit of research. I became a writer because I was looking at ways that I can improve how I share my stories. One thing also that is necessary is that as a writer, you should ensure that you make up words once a while of things that you out are imagining as well.

Are you sure you want to delete this post?

I am not a writer by profession and to tell you frankly most of the writers sometimes put they experienced on the article that they are writing to. I think because it is easy for them to write and finish their article easier because they could relate on the story that he is writing. He could connect easier and has many things to say when you are involved in the story.

Real life experiences are best source of inspiration for writings. You had it first hand, realization are yours and the details that you could use for your material are very rich and fresh. The emotions you put on it are very honest since it was you who had them. Even writing fictional stories, real life experiences are used as a basis on how things and emotions should go for the characters or even if you would want to change the ending.

I love writing articles influenced by real life scenarios. This is so because I intend that my readers can somehow identify and learn from my writings. My content will not just add to intellectual property of the readers but will move them to respond actively as needed. True stories can help transform lives and change paradigms which make them a strong foundation in one's writings.
