Facebook Page for small businesses

The popularity of Facebook can be utilized by the business with the free use of the Facebook Group and Facebook Page. But I prefer the Page because I can have exclusive control and it can act like a website for my business concerns. Considering that Facebook has 2 billion users that you can tap for your traffic, it is one consideration that we should not forget in the marketing activity. The only drawback is the policy of Facebook that the Page can be sanctioned when there is a violation of the policy.

I also think that Facebook is a huge marketing tool. The amount of traffic that you can get from Facebook is astounding. It is the biggest social media platform despite all the scandals that it is going through. I agree that you can get loads of free traffic. In my opinion the best way to do this is from Facebook groups. Facebook has also become abit funny and you never know when they may take down your post because it has violated one of their policies. It is becoming stricter because of all the scandals it is involved in to do with using people's data. I advise if you want to use Facebook pay for ads or read their terms and conditions very carefully.

It has also been online for too long and therefore they know how to keep afloat. It won't scrumble to the ground like a cookie in the near future. Facebook is here to stay. We rejoice in its user-friendliness and expertise.

I agree with what you said. It's actually an advantage of you want to advertise in Facebook because it helps to save money and time. It easier to reach and connect with you prospect client. Although there are a lot of scandals and despite of being strict but still Facebook can help you generate money.

Advertising in Facebook is easy and cheap, it can also be free. What's great about it is that it has 2 billion users, I mean 1/3 of the planets population is using this social media platform.

True. This is really the attraction of Facebook. Imagine 2 billion users every day! This number can become your audience or customers. This is, after all, the biggest social media platform. You can also advertise her for free but I suggest you pay for it to have a wider scope. I also think that Facebook page is really good. I have one too.

Facebook is a very effective tool to promote both big and small businesses nowadays. It's such a great help especially to small businesses when it comes to promoting their business and get more customers and more sales. Personally, I have a small business and I use Facebook to market my products. I get to reach more people and Facebook is such a great way for me to increase my sales and make more money. I have a Facebook page exclusively for my products and yes, it acts like a website. I still post to groups to promote my products but I put a link with it to my page to direct them where they can see more of my offers.

That's a good tactic to gather more traffic. Copy pasting your Facebook link will make advertising much easier. It seems that Facebook is now playing a big role for the advertisement of small businesses. I also have sold some items using Facebook but I don't have my own page. I'm planning to make one very soon, though.

Yes. It is definitely easier to set up a page than a website. I like that you can control everything on it too as long as you follow the rules and regulations. You can do this for free too.

The way I do it is to create a Facebook Group first and when there's a lot of members already then create a Facebook Page and convert it into an Online Store to support the needs of your Facebook Group.

The good thing is that you get to pay just a little token to market your goods on the social media and this is the reason many of us that don't have enough money to pay for ads on some blogs will always make use of Facebook in doing that.

There are a lot of businesses using Facebook as part of their advertisement and a way to gather more traffic. I have joined a lot of Facebook pages in which Facebook call as the "Market Community". It seems that Facebook has developed a feature to help businesses to fully utilize their reach when it comes to business. I also do some online selling in which I sell items through Facebook and it is way easier than other advertising techniques.

Google Adwords I am not using that much. I am not familiar with it. But YouTube and Facebook is a proven site for me to help with businesses. I cannot choose between Facebook and YouTube since they have there unique strength and a different audience. They are both good.

Google Adwords is one great platform to use too when it comes to digital marketing. The idea is the same with Facebook Ads. You also get to target your audience based on different metrics plus you get to take advantage of Google's search.

Totally agree. Poster and billboards are not that famous anymore since we can now easily introduce our product to mass media because of social media like Facebook and many others. Besides it is handy easier to advertise because of its bigger population in the social media.

I've been using Facebook as my website for both Company Facebook Page and as an Online Store. What's great with Facebook is that you can build Groups around it. But eversince Pages became limited I migrated my sites to Facebook Groups which are frequented by a lot of daily traffic.

Actually it's what they added that made it limited people to migrate to groups. They added the boost function, basically to earn from it. If you don't boost your post other people won't see it.

Yes using social media as a way to market your product or small business is a pretty good idea right now doing this is considered as a common practice. I have a small business and Facebook is one of the ways I use to easily spread my product awareness it is free and effortless to do. I never had an issue with Facebook even though I don't have a lot of idea about its policies.

I couldn't agree more. One thing I like about it is that it is not too difficult to set-up. Messaging is already embedded in it, so communication between the seller and the customer is a breeze. The only thing you have to worry about is the traffic.

One good thing about being an administrator of an FB group is you also get to do affiliate marketing on the side. Since you're the administrator, you can pin most of your posts on top of the page that includes the affiliated product.

I would recommend that you start by creating a group which is related to your business niche and then adding people in it when it's got a thousand people, create your business page and share your posts to your group. There's a lot of ways to get traffic to your page and this is the easiest way. What's good with it is that it's targeted traffic which you're funnelling.

Thanks for the recommendation, I would apply what you've said but I think it would be a long way before I can successfully do it, like how to find people that are and will be interested with my business, I mean nothings really easy in life but it's worth it, once you start to have progress on it and earn money.

I really don't have a Facebook page for now for my future business since honestly I don't have yet a business to promote but maybe in the future f I can have already some huge amount of funds then I might tried to have it since it is only free and very useful to have. Many business minded people have their own Facebook pages which they uses to easily connect with their clients every minute of the day. Strange though it, is there are some people who still don't promote their business on any social media platform. They are yet to grasp how powerful a marketing tool social media can be. IMO even if someone doesn't quite believe that they'll get more sales through Facebook, just create that Facebook page for your business and regularly update it. You never know when one of your posts will go viral.

There is also the fact that people may want to confirm whether others have bought something you are selling. They'll find this proof on social media: likes, positive comments about their shopping experience and so on. If you don't have a Facebook page, you'll probably lose many potential customers.

I think this is the first step of any small business since Facebook has a large user base. But I guess it would depend on location as here in the Philippines even the smaller start up at home ones have Facebook pages of their business.

My indie film company currently has a running Facebook page. It's amazing how many people you can reach in just a day when you use Facebook right. I think small businesses should do well to have a Facebook page as it is a good way to put your business on the map. Like you did so well to mention, Facebook has over 2 billion users.
