Content Generation Idea: Ask your subscribers, followers and readers to submit it!
This content generation method and idea is so obvious when you think about it but so obvious that a lot of people, businesses and websites don't even do it! Yet it's something you could do quite easily by just asking for it, that it could prove to be crucial in helping your business to succeed and survive in a world that has a hundred new competitor businesses starting up on just about every new business idea that someone has today! That and most niches that people work in are already very dominated by many competitors and rivals. But that just goes to show how much demand there is for whatever that niche of business is!

And that demand there is for that can be harnessed and steered, processed and engineered into some great content for your blog, website, videos, PDF's, Podcasts, newsletters, social media posts and more. By just asking your very own subscribers if there's any content that's related to your industry, business or niche that they'd like to submit to you. You could say that you'll feature anything good on your site in the blog and newsletter and on social media etc. Make them feel like they're getting something from it if they do which is key to getting a good response rate.

The chances are, if you're in an exciting niche, there will be! Say something like Hoverboards or eBikes (electric bikes) they're hot right now! And great fun too! So you'd probably have people submitting videos of them using them or something. And stuff like that. Even links to articles or other videos they know of or articles they've written themself. Their own blogs on that sort of thing. You probably have some competitors already following you and subscribed to your blog or email newsletter so some of them may submit something related to their blog or own website and might just be doing it just to get a link from you lol.

So you'll have to use your own judgement but still, if there's a lot of people that are following you or you can ask to submit content to you, then you might still get quite a lot of stuff come through and in fact. This could be just about all you ever needed to do again for coming up with content generation ideas. Because if you got many submissions, there would surely be some stuff that would make good content. It's up to you if you use it if you give kudos and a link for that submission when you do make content from it and submit it to your site! Content Generation Idea: Ask your subscribers, followers and readers to submit it!

By the way, some ways to do this would be to send it in a newsletter to your email newsletter subscribers. Also create a post on your blog about it and share it on social media etc. Include it in the footer of company emails, send it to your customers as a leaflet, flyer or even take out some advertising, even TV and radio advertising asking for people to submit to you.

You'd have to ask them what sort of things to submit like any rants and raves, any gripes they have with something in your niche, anything they want to say about any businesses in that niche or recommendations even, any videos they have of them using that product or business, service etc or any kind of problems they are having with and solutions they've found, that sort of thing.

But that's basically Content Generation Idea 24: Asking your subscribers, followers and readers to submit it!

I hope that from what I've said here you have enough to go on to see how you could do this and how it can help with coming up with new and fresh and good content ideas by just asking your followers and other people for it! Content Generation Idea: Ask your subscribers, followers and readers to submit it!

Try it, see what happens!

I guarantee you'll get a least a few submissions if you do this right.

And from what's submitted, be able to find a few diamonds in the rough! Content Generation Idea: Ask your subscribers, followers and readers to submit it!

Do you ask your followers, subscribers, readers and buyers & clients to submit content to you?

If so how did / does it work out for you?

This is the exact method that my team and I use at the college where we work. We run monthly Instagram photography contests, develop specialized hashtags for the students to use when they post their photos so we can see them, and then judge the entries each week. This is not only a great way to generate content for our social media pages, but also a way for us to keep students engaged with the college on social media and hopefully a way to drive traffic to Instagram.

It really is an ingenious method, especially since nearly everyone has a means to create content given they have a cell phone with a camera.

I am new to this method of contents generation, I never thought of something like this before, only the normal method of trying to generate ideas through inspirations.

When my blog grows I will definitely engage in my subscribers, followers and readers this way, thanks for the idea anyway I appreciate.

You should use this method in the sense that you can use that to generate contents for those blogs that are interested in having blogs.

In my case, it is easier said than done because most of my friends in social media are more on the personal aspect and not for business. Whenever I would post something personal, it would receive a lot of likes and comments but for serious posts, it rarely gets a good number of reactions. Maybe I can create a Facebook Page for my business and that’s the venue to solicit the ideas of the followers of the said Page.

That's a great idea and I've used it in the past in one of my sites. It's always good to get some inputs from the people who reads your content. It's also good for the site to interact with your followers, subscribers and members.
