Content Generation Idea: Using Sneak Peeks

If your company or business creates and sells its own products or services. Then you could create a "sneak peek" of it as content for your site. And this can have a lot of benefits for your site and business in many ways not just through it providing content for your site. But in that it can drum up buzz, awareness and new business for you.

And so, if your business does create and sell its own products, and you have new up and coming products or services, then you could probably create a sneak peek into it by writing and publishing a blog post about it!

For example, let's say you're in the software niche and you're releasing a new version of some software that addresses some problems that people had with it before. You could say that it has a new GUI (Graphical User Interface) and show a sneaky preview of it but don't reveal the full GUI. You could write about some of the new features that software has as well as some of the benefits it has too. Then when it's fully released write a more fuller review of it.

But that's basically how you can use sneak peeks for content generation ideas! Of course, this really depends on if you are a business or company that does make and sell its own products. But even if not, you could probably get some insider information on what new products or services you know of that are going to be released soon if you keep your ear to the ground!

What you could do is contact those businesses and companies in your niche and ask them if they have any new products or services coming soon that you might like to know about. The trick here is to posing your question as a buyer and not as a competitor/rival. If they get a hint that you're a competitor fishing for information they'll likely not want to help you.

But if you can convince them that you're a buyer enquiring about any new products or services they have coming soon. You could possibly gleam enough information from it and about it to write up a full blog post about it!

And people will like that you've done that as it keeps them informed about new things they might be interested in. In fact, so much so that if you do this regularly, people will come to your site just looking for those sneak peeks and insider announcements of new and up and coming products and services! Content Generation Idea: Using Sneak Peeks

But that's just basically using sneak peeks for content ideas!

Sneak peeks, like interviews, always do well as a type of content. There's just something about sneak peaks that get people really excited. I mean, EA Sports are releasing sneak peeks of their game slowly at the moment and it's creating so much hype and content for them. It's amazing what sneak peaks do. Unfortunately, it will only be suitable for a few types of blogs and websites. Not all blogs can really use sneak peeks as content.

One friend of mine who writes for a movie magazine is an expert when it comes to sneak peak. It’s not only about the upcoming movie that he writes about. Let’s say when an actress is about to get engaged, there would be an article about the anticipated engagement that comes complete with some details. There’s also the issues and intrigues that are called snippets which can be blown up into one article if information is enough. You know the big arguments of a movie star with her manager, right?

I think sneak peaks is the perfect strategy as a content generation idea. I think its potential in terms of attracting traffic will be high. There is nothing more exciting to potential readers or clients then looking at a new product. Especially if you do it in a way that it is exclusive. I would use this idea for an e-mail newsletter, especially of existing clients as a way to make them feel like they are valuable clients.
