Content Generation Idea: Get Guest Bloggers
If you're struggling to come up with
content ideas for your site or blog. Then why not just leave it to other people to do that for you? That's possible when you allow
guest posting on your blog since those guest posters will be writing content for you. And provided it's good content that is related to what your site is about, with enough of them you might never need write another word again!
Obviously, for this to work, you'll need a good amount of guest posters actually writing for your site. And you'll have to convince them to write for you. Not always easy if you are a fairly new site/blog that doesn't already have a lot of traffic or good stats to make it worth their time actually writing for you.
But even if you don't, if you're in a niche that is in high demand, it's likely you'll still have people submit their guest posts to your site. And all you really need to do is reach out to those relevant, similar sites, blogs and businesses in your niche.
Literally send people messages, emails etc asking them if they want to guest post on your site. You'll need to sort of "pitch" them without it sounding like a sales pitch. You'll need to find them as well. That's usually easily done by just searching out those sites and blogs in your niche.
Then just finding their contact options and then sending them a message. You'll need to explain who you are and that you're reaching out to see if they'd like to post guest post articles to your sites blog.
Most people will take you up on the offer as it means they'll get some extra exposure for their own site or blog and a backlink from a related site as well which are worth their weight in gold!
After a while of asking around though, it's possible to build up a good amount of guest posters for your site and you can end up with people submitting content to it all the time.
The only catch or downside to guest posting really is managing all the post requests, then posting them on your site. But you'll also need to make sure all content is unique.
If you're happy with posting duplicate content to your site then that's fine and there's nothing wrong with that. But you might not rank as high for it as the original version of it does.
Still though, so long as the content is related to your site, then there is no reason not to publish it unless you only want 100% unique content.
The only other thing when accepting guest posts is that you'll have to include a link to their own site. This can mean sending traffic away from your site but that's only fair in leu of their content.
And that's basically how you use guest posters for content creation purposes.
Do you allow guest posts on your site for this reason?
What other ways can you take advantage of guest posts for content creation?
