Bloggers - Be Unique, Be Yourself and Stand Out!

When I first started writing blog posts for my websites I started off with trying to write the things I thought people wanted to hear and in the way that I thought they would enjoy.

I wouldn't say that my content was bad but I didn't get a huge amount of satisfaction then from my writing. In addition to that it was work for me. It was work trying to be someone else.

When I stopped trying to meet the needs of my readers and focus more on what I needed to say and in my own way is when I saw a huge change in my business.

Not only was I loving writing but my readers were engaging with me and my rankings were increasing.

So my advice is if you are trying to write content try and be yourself, you may just be pleasantly surprised!

Great to hear that Lynne, I too went through a similar experience and when you finally find the right balance between having satisfied readers and enjoying your own writing it's simply a pleasure to blog in any niche.

Standing out is the best thing you can do as a blogger, nobody wants to hear the same old rhetoric put into a boring article, people want to read something engaging and you need to refine your personal style but also research on what exactly people want, because if you write about things people don't search for, you won't going to get much organic traffic. On the other hand going out all extream on being unique may also attract a lot of loyal readers and with time you and your writing will become a brand that people search for.

I agree with you.

If you just write to satisfy certain sets of readers, it is something they've already predict it, they knew it coming. Unique content is giving them something they’re didn't expect, something fresh and new. And it only happens when you speak, something unknown to them, in other words conversion your thought into reality and since it is your own thought it will be in your own words with blend of critical thinking.

So, you've already the seen success of doing that, it probably helped you a lot.

Standing out is extremely important especially if you have a personal blog or even a blog that is about an extremely popular niche. If you are in a niche like gaming or technology then it makes being unique and standing out even more important because of how many other blogs there are out there. If you are unable to stand out then your competitors will be able to get your potential readers. And of course be yourself. There is no point trying to be someone else because you won't be enjoying writing for your blog then. Relax, be yourself and write content that you enjoy

There are many thousands of blogs being started each day and there are what seems like a myriad of blogs in each niche. It can be overwhelming to step back and look at the blogosphere – an organism that is churning out millions of new pages of content each month. How will your single blog rise above the rest? Isn’t it all just too hard?Yes it is hard – but…. (and this might sound harsh) that’s life. We live in a world of billions of people, all striving to achieve. We live in a world surrounded by thousands of companies and businesses, each struggling to to succeed. Life is cluttered and congested – but it doesn’t (or shouldn’t) stop us. The key is to find a way forward that works for you. and be unique in it.

I am glad to have learned from your experience. Being original is the best way to go. It is better to be original and have few fans than to be a copy and be famous. Writing what you really want to say using your own writing style will make you feel satisfied,happy and proud of yourself.

If what you are writing is your passion, you will surely have a great chance of being a standout since you will be showing yourself in a natural way. That is one advantage when you love the subject matter that you are writing, everything comes naturally and is natural as well. But, of course, not everyone can write in the proper way so there are rules to follow. And if you have the experience of writing then it would be easier to come up with something that can go trending.
