I normally generate posts from nothing. Just the way one letter added another will make a word. Words turn into sentences which in turn create a story. You do not need to be concentrating too much to come up with a story. I think it should build as you move on.

It is also a good way to generate fresh stories or posts. Basically, writers have rich minds. Sometimes, writers just close their eyes and can definitely make a good start of fresh stories. Some good stories came from nothing and no bases at all but people tend to read it more because they are interesting. Sometimes, it is not just about the content, it is also based on how it is presented to be more creative and interesting in the readers eyes.

That is indeed true. The more creative and imaginative a writer's mind, the more stories he/she can make. Nonetheless there are negative effects of being so creative and imaginative. There are times, too much imagination can also ruin a story. It turns to be unrealistic and phantasmagorical.

I generate fresh stories and fresh ideas by reading a lot of resources. I also keep myself updated with the news around the world. Most of all I read the Bible. The Bible is the source of all knowledge about God.

I agree, maybe some think that being a freelancer is an easy job but it's a big NO. Some freelancer spend more hours working than those with full time jobs which work for at least 8 hours a day. That's why generating new ideas are somewhat hard but reading others post can trigger our mind to come up with something.

Relax and take a break. I think a lot of people don't realise how hard they work which in turn sometimes makes them tired and stressed. By taking a break and taking some time to relax, you can clear your mind thus giving your brain some energy to come up with some ideas to generate fresh stories and new ideas.

I strongly agree with this. when I run out of words and can't come up with new ideas, I just take a rest. Go outside a bit, breathe fresh air while taking a sip of hot coffee. When a person's mind is tired, it will never think of something new and fresh because the our mind also needs rest.

I agree. We work too hard sometimes to compensate for "lost time." When really, what we need is rest from all of it. So a few days of relaxation goes a long to restoring our creativity.

I also do these kinds of routines. I usually have stressful days since I've got tons to do and I find it really hard to generate some new ideas. What I do is that I breathe and take some time to relax neglecting everything that could disturb my mind from relaxing. It helped me to gather up new thought about something that could really help me create my content.

Focusing on my activities give me the opportunity to think of new ideas. I am employed and it helps when I concentrate on my job that after office hours I seem to long for writing. Sometimes I go out with friends and the bonding time I spend with them serves as a respite to refresh my mind. But when the time comes that I couldn't write anything as if my mind is blank then I don't write because forcing myself to write will only result in garbage.

I get most of my ideas on a random basis. I keep my phone always close and notemaking apps are my best buddies. I take short notes even with ideas that have not matured fully. Later on I build up on the notes I have made over time.

I do this as well. My phone is always on my side in order that I can take short notes everytime I have an inspiration. Sometimes I only write a keyword or a sentence and the rest
follows when I get home. Notemaking apps are really helpful for me. It makes my writing convenient and easier.

Me too. Usually, I base my posts or writings on my daily or past experiences. So, whenever I feel something is triggering an idea, I tend to make a note, add some tips that remind me later about it, and then when I feel more inspired, make the whole writing on that topic or event.

Often my ideas come as a result of my travels! I find that being in a new place is inspiring in itself, and it tends to bring about loads of new ideas. Honestly though, sometimes new ideas come as a result of the simplest things, such as going for a walk around my neighborhood. I'm always trying to find inspiration in the unlikeliest of places.

There is a study that says that travelling relaxes and refreshes the mind. I agree with this. Travelling by land and ocean for me brings me good and new ideas. I always love to travel to places. Usually, I take buses and just look at the window and after a stop I have a new idea.

Yeah, you must try that one. I find it interesting, listening to others experiences and when hearing some stories of them, I would not have thought that there were some kinds of stories like that which will blow my mind. You will just discover how amazing or frustrating their stories. I have a classmate that was so weird. He doesn't want to be friends with us and we don't know his true reason why he acted like that. My other classmates used to bully him because of how he walked and talked and also they find it weird for him not to be friends with them. He acted as if we were gonna eat him since his every action seems like we are scaring him.I really felt sorry for him but I have tried to chat him on facebook. I found out that he is a nice guy and I also knew that he had an experienced about how he saw his dad killed by someone and his bestfriend who died from drowning but too late to helped him. From what I have knew, I think he got traumatized by his experience. Sometimes when I'm writing a lyrics and I feel frustrated I just remember his story and realized how hard it was than my current problems. From that idea, I have wrote a song inspired by his story that will somehow relate also to me.

We never really know what a person is going through. Sometimes we judge base on their attitude towards us without knowing what makes them who they are. Their life is very interesting and a great source of emotional stories. I have a friend like that. She stammers and so shy I found it she was molested when she was a child. I wrote about a topic that talks about child abuse when I was in high school because of her.

Really? Yeah!That's true. You have to explore and try out some new activities and with that you will be able to absorb things you have not yet encountered before. Sometimes we encountered failures and mistakes but think of it as a gaining experience. Those negative experiences happened to you before, just serve it as a learning experience and a positive outcome. You can write articles through your experiences, it can be a positive or negative as long as it give sense to your article and viewers will not get easily tired of reading your article and content. I had been traveling from different places in my country in the Phillipines and I realized how it is important since I can make different stories regarding on the places that I visited. There are millions of occurrence in the world that takes place on daily basis and if you observant enough, you are definitely going have flooding of topics to write on without never being able to complete all the topics that comes to mind. Reading both newsletters, newspapers and magazines gives one great tips on what to write on because there are tons of fresh topics in each publication and there are so many categories in each publication that you can choose from and make up your own topics to develop. I do read papers from time to time but I do focus more on international business news because it's where my field lies on at the moment.

When I am tired and over worked, I usually get that writer's block. It gives me headache to force myself to think about new ideas. So what I do is sit back and relax. I eat something light or sometimes just drink a cup of warm drinks.
Once I am rested, i usually get the keys of my car and drive. Sometimes, I go to a nearby park and silently watch everything around, it can be people, stray animals and even trees. From there I usually get fresh ideas.

Yes, it is very hard when you are experiencing a writer's block. I also get ideas by reading others work and books. Traveling is also a good choice but if I really need to write an article I will write about my experiences and other people experience like my friends or family. Writing with a touch of my experience is the easiest way to write new article or stories. To be more inspired in writing I let myself rest and enjoy some peaceful quiet place. Do not pressure yourself to much take a break if it is really needed.

I also follow popular culture religiously. I find the best writing comes from re imagining or offer solutions to what is currently happening in society. I keep to writing in topics that I like. A hobby of mine is people watching and I've learned many things just from observing the people passing by. In this digital age, I guess Reddit and Pinterest can be a good source too. I’d say that, usually, if I can’t come up with an original idea straight from my own mind, then I try to sit down and absorb some other form of media. Most of my ideas typically come as a result of being inspired by some other form of art.

For example, while reading a book or watching a YouTube video, someone will say or do something that sparks a thought in my head. I then write that thought down and begin to expand upon it until it’s a fully fleshed out piece of written work.

This is actually a pretty ingenious suggestion! I suppose it’s more than just a coincidence that so many writers love to travel as well.

Traveling can be an intensely emotional experience for some people. Being far from home and in a strange, foreign land can really manifest some feelings and thoughts that you normally wouldn’t have while just sitting at home.

If you’re writing a novel in particular, it can be a good source of inspiration for writing stories in a vastly different perspective than you normally might have

The best ideas tend to develop when you aren't really trying to look for them. You can get fresh ideas from literally everywhere... radio, newspaper, social media, your surroundings, etc.

Every time I find my self in that phase. That "Dry spell" the only thing that goes to my mind is to watch horror movies winch I hate by the way with a passion. And because I don't like horror movies, even the crappiest one out there on film, my brain wonders to different scenarios just to get my attention away from the scene playing in front of me. I generate fresh ideas by reading other books and I research a lot for the things I don’t understand. I also believe that the more you get to experience other new things rather than your usual, the more ideas come out to you. So I go out to travel and refresh my thoughts and experience new things I have never experienced before. I welcome new things that help me improve my knowledge, experiences, and ideas. Most importantly I rest and get a good sleep because sleep serves to re-energize the body's cells, clear waste from the brain, and support learning and memory.

Posting in forums and reading on the comment section will also help generating ideas. Sometimes when you just hear someone mention a topic and idea can pop up from there like the imaginary light bulb. It doesn't have to be the exact idea but it just brings about other ideas related to what was mentioned.

Have a break. Yes, we have a countless number of phenomena all over the world to be use as a topic to our articles. However, there'll come a time when we reach to the point of having a mental block. Our mind needs rest as well, we need to have a break.
Though we have a lot of topics to discuss in our articles, we won't be able to produce a good article if our mind or brain is exhausted.

Rest is a hugely important thing. If your brain is already feeling fried, often pushing it more is a recipe for disaster - and you need to just give yourself a break and some time to decompress and chill!

That's more helpful a lot of the time than overdoing it, and rest can definitely result in inspiration!

I'm not really an expert when it comes to create new ideas or topics but I think you must keep your self updated to your surroundings especially in the internet. When I sit down to write it is normally a short story or novelette. I never know what my next story is going to be or how the characters personalities will pan out. I start with a blank page and choose any three objects. Then I focus on those three chosen objects and a story just comes into my mind. First, a character appears in my mind that has something to do with one of the objects and it all goes from there.

It moves on when I consider who that character is and who they know, what they are doing and what that object means to them. While I write, more ideas come so those ideas get jotted down till I'm ready to add them into the story.

Not knowing where any story is going to go is really exciting for me. It's like reading a book or seeing a movie in my mind's eye. Sometimes the characters surprise me. For example, a lady in one of my stories had run after her friend to try to catch her up and talk with her. Only, her friend went indoors and shut the door. I expected her friend to open the door to her but she didn't! My character ended up shouting through the letterbox to no avail. Because of this friend playing ignorant, it opened up much of the rest of the story.

I think the thing about writing stories is to just relax and let the characters play out their parts.

Sometimes I am watching at youtube to gather new ideas during my idle time. I really like watching YouTube videos because I learned many things that out of my expectations. Through it I generate new ideas that sometimes I can used in my day to day living. I am really thankful at YouTube since you can learned anything you want to know about certain things.

News everyday are so important if you want to get more info's and fresh - these are where we can get topics that we can start with. I make sure I watch the early news and the evening news to make sure I'm updated with my story. I as well use google for searching more about my topic and its really good because its really reliable and more information too that i learned from it.

I believe you can generate more fresh ideas by reading a lot of books. You really have to time to read and read. But also you need to have time of relaxation or recreation too. So that you will not be too stressed in reading. You drink plenty of water. Eat fresh fruits and vegetables. Don't forget also to take your vitamins. Exercise everyday. This is to keep our body and minds healthy so we can be more inspired to write.

Apart from reading life has become super fascinating. Apart from reading so many things are happening in life that all you need to do is look around you. For example look at all the things that have been happening with Trump look at all the books that have been written around trump and his antics. This is how to generate fresh ideas, so far this year three books have been written about his presidency and they are set to be bestsellers.

This generation's writers are a lucky bunch. They have all the inspiration and sources of ideas that were not available to writers of the past eras. Today, we all have the internet and tons of websites to provide sources of interesting topics for our next feature. YouTube alone is one treasure trove of ideas for bloggers and article writers. Many local TV shows and films derive their inspiration from trends found in the internet and social media. A writer just have to keep an open and fresh mind to benefit from these sites.

Generally, there is really no new idea and stories that we can come up with. Its just the perception of the reader or people in this generation that makes an idea new. On the stand point of a reader, any idea that I think is new and fresh may differ from a perspective of another person. It is the job of the writer to get in the mind of his readers and find out his/her perceptions or the perception of the society in general. Thats only my own opinion. Respect.

I agree with you that it is indeed true that sometimes, a 'dry spell' just hits from nowhere. I, however, love your ideas and agree that reading new content and interacting with people inspires new topics to write about. As for me, I read, go to new places, and listen to people as they speak about different things. These things always give me a constant supply of content. To add to this, I also spend time alone to meditate and pray. During such times, I ask GOD for good things to write about, and HE actually never fails.

I agree therefore you need to be updated a lot. So for that to happen, you must read a lot of books or articles, watch a lot of video content (or television), and talk to a lot of people from different backgrounds. Then you get fresh ideas about current events and such. Hope this helps.

The internet offers a large collection of ideas ready to be browse by any individual. Browsing the internet by reading blogs, listening to podcast or watching videos online will greatly help if I am looking for fresh ideas to write. I usually get new ideas from social medias since a lot of things happen there and I will just make new approach to how to write the story. For me, real life scenarios shared online are the best things to find inspiration.

I've often been disappointed when I'm seeking information on the internet and find out some articles I click on contain outdated information.

Anyone can use this as inspiration to generate new blog post ideas.

When researching search phrases that you'll use for SEO, use those search terms to find content that has previously been published. If it has been a while since it was updated, then create a new versions of those old articles adding to them new information which will make them more valuable they are in their present state. And no it isn't re-writing old articles that you didn't write, it's using them as inspiration to create something better.

Sometimes we need to take a break and come interact in nature for relaxation. We must consider interval and not overworking too much. Once we feel relieved we might also find a thing that will serve as an inspiration of what we will write next.

The answer is, I don't. The ideas find me. I can be anywhere and words find me out. Most of the time I am writing in my head. What the subject matter is is hard to say as anything can spark a word fiesta. I do find past memories, good and bad weave themselves into things. For example, looking at my wooden desk I remember a birthday present on a particular day in a particular room where the desk given to me had a formica top. I can recreate my feelings and the occassion and that takes me out through the window beyond into the street. From there I have to prune back because several stories might issue from a chance glance at a simple wooden desk in the current bedroom.

I think the best ideas come from what is happening around you,That is why when you write in a niche you are familiar in, your writing is better. However I also think that those who read alot especially in relation to current affairs have a lot to write. So many things happen everyday. I dare you to read your local paper or an international paper for a week. Your head will be bursting with ideas I can promise you.Writing is a form of self-expression and telling the world what you think on a particular topic. We all tend to forget that.

In my case, I always read. I read whatever I can read, whether it's something serious or bizarre viral posts. It is because I believe that I can learn from everything as long as I put my focus intoon it. I can learn humor from funny posts, perfect construction from formal written outputs and trends from different people. One must be open-minded to be creative and be fresh with ideas.

If I see an instance of a layout or product or answer that works well, I make a intellectual note of it. Then I consider where else i'm able to apply its use, what occurs if I lessen/growth its size, weight, and many others. There are numerous examples wherein an altered model of a product has a unique use for exceptional consumer segmentation for a special assignment that wasn’t notion of during the unique product creation.

A writer does need to keep his eyes and ears open and stay updated with everything that is happening around him and also around the world. I get inspiration and ideas from multiple sources to write my content. I do read the daily newspapers which is full of interesting news stories and incidents happening around you and around the world. I also like to read a lot and reading also does help you to remain aware of the new ideas and inspirations for your content.

I think all writers do the same, they get ideas from readings, daily interactions, observations, personal experiences etc. It is the different experiences that make our stories interesting and unique. The inspirations for content can be from all those sources that are linked and articulated by the writers to make them inspiring and interesting to the readers.
