Don’t know what to post, have no idea ..

How to grow from a knowledge point of view? Knowledge!

Besides what we have learned in our college, it's just the tip of an iceberg, for an instance, we have learned about marketing, management, business law in college, but it’s just the few pages from the whole book, still in depth knowledge is yet to be discussed.

We get face to face with the questions of those, the answers we’re looking for, when we work for someone else. In our working phrase, we learn the extended course of what we have known from our college and try to implement those in real life to resolve issues that we come across in day to day activities.

For me, even if I’m not aware of certain topic or subjects, that I get orders from my buyers to write about, I prepare myself, I do everything necessary for me, in order to write. And when I look at the forums, I see the topics and ideas that I had, it's been already expressed and published by some other writers, in such situations I just black out, because I don’t know what to write, things I knew has already been shared.

This is the time, where I really push my boundaries, believe it or not, I tend to read a lot of books. Research on any topics is very easy from the Internet. But most information you find on the Internet, it all twist information as it went on from people to people, and each person tends to add something on their own. I remember when I was in college, I often had problems with plagiarism, even if I’m talking some information about the books bought from library, but this information already exists on the Internet. What I have learned, the biggest mistake people make is that, they tend to paraphrase, when they do that they’re actually going far away from the actual information.

Since then, I tend to get as many sources as possible, available for me that can help me to find genuine information, I don’t simply read, I try to understand the concept by visualizing and then analyze critical thinking ability.

Because once you let a buyer go, just because you're not sure or have no idea of the topic, you’re loosing a buyer, and he or she may not order you again.

Its really difficult for writers to run out of ideas. Its better to relax first. Sometimes having a good break from writing is needed. We don't have to squeeze everything out of our minds. What can we do if there is nothing would really come out of it?

I suggest that we must be refreshed from time to time. Even machines can get depleted. If your are so tired I believe that you really can't think very well. Sometimes the answer is just taking a deep sleep.

Hmm I'm not quite sure what to make of your topic. It seems quite broken and you talk of one thing then jump to another. Or perhaps I'm just not reading it right although I did give it a few reads to try and grasp in full what you're saying, or asking. And I think I can sort of assimilate what you're saying. In that sometimes you can't think of things to write about. Whether it's for your own blog or on a forum, or even for a client. And that you use forums and books for research. And by the way, I believe you when you say you read a lot of books. I like to read informational books as well. There's nothing wrong with that! And these can be very great for gathering and harnessing ideas for things to write about too. There's a couple books I'm reading at the moment that I hope to start writing about soon as they have opened up a lot of avenues for even more information and I like it when books do that! Don’t know what to post, have no idea ..

Dear idealmike,

If you’re not sure of what you are reading through my post, it means I fail to impress you.

What I meant is that I do a lot of research on various subjects, it's like my jam, and when I do that, I feel I have gathered enough information from it to tackle further orders, but in doing the actual order, the information that I had gathered from my research, feels less at that point of time. So, If I cannot write or elaborate my thoughts properly, I cannot post the order.

And the source of my information is mostly from books or journals, I am not really fond of the Internet as a source of my information unless the information is verified by another reader.

I hope, I am able to make you understand now.

Ok, thanks for letting us know better. Well, I totally get that your main source are books and journals, which is great because that's verified information, and you want to be a reliable source. However, you have to face that Internet is the biggest source of information nowadays, and your clients/customers are using it all the time, so if you want to please your clients, you have to go with them, give them what they like, and it is by comparing and offering something equal or better than what they can find online, so you have to research online a lot. Pay more attention to Internet and you will improve a lot.

That is why it is imperative to really have a well-thought post which you have all the ideas and information before you even publish it. This the common mistake most "wannabe" writers do. Now I am not calling myself a real writer, rather an aspiring one. I am far from being a better writer but I surely don't do those same mistakes those writers do. I always put a lot of time and effort on a post before I publish one. I may or may not get ideas from the Internet, but I would always have my personal point of views and all. The Internet is dark and full of terror. Don’t know what to post, have no idea ..

The way it looks to me, you are cramming your mind with new ideas by researching relentlessly. Let’s say you read a book today, maybe 5 pages about a particular topic that is alien to you. Understand the information on the 5 pages and let it sink. Don’t handle another book today which gives your brain the time to absorb what you had previously read. And when an idea about it comes to your head, try to relate the subject matter to your experience or to the experience of people close to you. That would make your writing easier.

Yeah, just take in what you can from the book and savor it, kind of like how binge-watching TV series can get too taxing and you have to take it one episode at a time to understand it better and to get deeper into the experience.

I'm also a bit confused about your comments. The subject your tackling is tricky. What i get from your comments is that your read information from different sources and don't know how to compile it, especially if the information is new. What I think the problem is , is that you're writing about a topic you know, nothing about. This is always difficult. In my opinion the easiest way to work is to take work, about a subject you are familiar with, gather information, put it together and have an opinion about it. That is what will make your work original.

I think what your saying is that you tend to get nervous when your faced with unfamiliar subjects.

We, there's nothing a little research can't do. I for one rejects offers that I'm not familiar to, because I know the content won't come out that good. I only write content of subjects which I like or I've experienced.

I believed that if you have first hand knowledge of the subject or even if you don't but you like it or you want to experience it, then you won't have any problems doing the content.

In my personal opinion if you are "drawn" to a subject then it won't be a problem but if you don't like the subject then don't write about it. It's not always about the money you know.

One of the key aspects of working in this environment is that you have to always be prepared to research and do a lot of reading in order to have the amount of knowledge required to write a decent and well-thought of article. Laziness of reading has no place if you want to be successful and achieve your goals as a writer.

I have also written articles on topics which I was not conversant on in the past. I had to undertake lots of research to come up with a good work. I also try to ask advice from experts from time to time. If you are finding it difficult to write after having conducted an elaborate research then maybe it due to some concentration problem. Try to find the right time to write. I find it easier to write in the morning as I can concentrate and the ideas keep flowing.

Writing a topic that is not familiar is somehow a great way to enhance your writing capabilities and knowledge. It is like having a conversation with a group with a topic your not aware of. But in writing its different, because you'll have a chance to know about the topic and have the opportunity to share your thoughts about it. Although it's really hard to write something that your not interested, but if it is a profession it's really something that you need to work on to. Mind setting your self to be interested on every topic for your content.

Nowadays it's really easy to check plagiarism online, however, I understand not all materials are available online there are some may not be uploaded to the internet so you're not really 100% sure about your work. I also know that clients are really important to keep your business going that you have to build a good reputation so they keep coming back. So thorough research is a must. Good luck on your journey hope you get lots of buyers and I'm sure you can do it.

I have the same experience before writing on a health related topic. There were medical terms that I am not familiar with so just like you, what I did is to gather all information about it from various resources. Read and understand them all till I can already explain it on my own. From there, I make an outline of what I would be discussing and then start letting all the information that I have gathered in my mind flow out in the article.

Well, I experienced it most of the time. But for you to think of something that you can post. It must be informative and entertaining so the viewers or readers won't get bored of reading or viewing on the one that you posted.

Well being well rounded by reading a lot of books and experiencing a lot of things is always the best teacher. Although unlike you I wouldn't write about any topic that I'm really not confident about more so if I don't know anything about it beforehand. I only write about topics that I'm familiar with or have some prior knowledge in.

Whenever I write about topics which I'm really not familiar with, I feel that im cheating myself. That's why ii only write about topics close to my heart or those I'm passionate and familiar with.

Knowledge consists of what you know and knowing where to find what it is that you need to know. Nobody needs to know everything. But if they need to learn something they don't know, then they should at least know how to find out. So I'm thinking you've figured out how to figure it all out. LOL Don’t know what to post, have no idea .. Don’t know what to post, have no idea ..
