Okay, this is my 2nd post out of what might be just about 100 content generation ideas by the time I'm finished. And some of these content generation ideas might seem obvious to you, you might wonder how you didn't think of them since they are usually right under your nose all along. Well, sometimes it's the closest things we don't see when we're looking out into the distance!

One other thing that I'd like to mention here, is that these ideas can't just be used to come up with ideas for content, but you can actually make use of these ideas to promote and market yourself as well, your business, services or products. Since most of the ideas and ways I'll post about usually revolve around finding out about peoples problems and then being able to "go in" and then share your solution or answer to that problem in the form of your own content in those places.

Forums are one of the oldest ways for people to talk together today. But they are still going as strong as they always have been. Despite Q&A sites like Quora, Yahoo! Answers etc and social media sites, groups and communities (but that's for another idea).

And using forums is one of the best ways to come up with content generation ideas as well. And it's so simple to do this and find ideas using forums that you might just smack yourself for not adopting and making use of this method for this purpose!

All it really takes is going to Google and searching for something like "KEYWORD + forums". Where KEYWORD is a word that's related to your industry. So let's say your blog is about dog training, (a great example I often use). Well you would then go to Google and search for something like "dog training forums".

As you can see from the search, Google returns tons of forums in that niche. 3.5,000,000 to be precise! Some of these forums are very active and have thousands of users on them all posting great articles or answering other peoples questions they've asked. All you have to do is go onto these forums and view the thread and posts people have made. From that, you should be able to find some truly great topics to cover in your content. Just read through peoples replies to those threads and you can use that to form your content.

Just keep a notepad open and make a note of the forum topic and URL. Jot down some things that you can cover in your content. Some threads are more popular than others, these are usually great topics to cover (very popular). The thing you can bet on here is that if they're that popular topics on those forums, they'll be super great topics to cover in your content too.

And that's basically content generation idea 2. Using related user forums for content generation ideas. The crazy thing is, this is one of the best ways to come up with content ideas. But many writers who hit writers block don't think about using them! How crazy is that?
