Obviously guest posts are posts that have been submitted to you by other people. People that own sites and blogs that are in the same niche / industry as yours. And they aren't submitting them just so you can get some free content for your site but are doing so in the understanding that you'll give them a link within that content back to their own website. Well that's just how guest posts work!
Now depending on your site and how big it is, there are different ways you can go about getting guest posts. For small sites that haven't been around that long you may find it harder to get people to submit them to you since you might not have that much traffic or very good stats (like PA, DA, CF & TF etc). So you're not going to be of very high priority to those webmasters that are looking for the best and biggest sites in their niche to write a guest post or two for. But even if you're a very new site, and chances are if you're looking at using guest posts for content then you are. Well it doesn't mean you still can't get them! All it really takes is just getting the news out there that you're accepting guest posts and they should come!
How to get people to submit guest posts to you?
Create a post/page on your site about it.
Share that post/page on social media etc.
Create a newsletter about it and email it to your subscribers.
Contact bloggers and sites in your niche and let them know.
Request people to write about specific things.
Make a submission form or have people email them to you.
Guest Post Conditions
Just remember to state some terms and conditions to the guest posts you receive. Obviously you'll want content that is related to your site. But you may only want them to have one link within in. Just state some terms and conditions first so that people know what they can have to avoid headaches and complications pr misunderstandings later on. You may also want to "revise" the guest post a little so that it sounds better or contains some of the keywords that you're targeting with you site. So you should stipulate this. Most people will be completely cool with that as long as they're getting a link from it still!
Do you accept/use blog posts for content for your site or blog?
What other ways do you ask for and get people to submit guest posts to you?
Good post! As for me, I don't allow guest posting just yet because my blog is still work in progress. But you have nailed most of the vital points and things to keep in mind whenever one should allow and receive guest posting. It should be a win-win scenario from both sides unless you are paying them or they are paying you to do guest posting which I believe isn't ideal. Having the same niche or relevant topics sometimes is enough for guest posting to actually take place.Good post! In my experience as a guest blogger before, it was obvious that the blogger had taken some ideas from my blog for his own content. Like my blog about illegal breeding, his follow up blog was about puppies that are sold with no certification of breed. And I think there was another article of his that was related to my blog in illegal breeding. Even if he wouldn’t admit, I know for sure that my article gave him ideas for his blogs. In my experience as a guest blogger before, it was obvious that the blogger had taken some ideas from my blog for his own content. Well, I don't have my own website or a blog but the idea of generating content from guest blogs is certainly very practical and effective. if one is able to get good quality content on his blog related to the subject that is been discussed then these posts will definitely help in increasing the traffic to your website or blog. The guest who is posting his link along with the content on your blog will also benefit by attracting more people to his work. if you are able to limit the number of links that can be put with the guest posts, then it will be a win-win situation for bothWell, I don't have my own website or a blog but the idea of generating content from guest blogs is certainly very practical and effective. if one is able to get good quality content on his blog related to the subject that is been discussed then these posts will definitely help in increasing the traffic to your website or blog.
