Content Generation Idea: Featuring Major Celebrities
Hello and welcome to today's content generation idea. This one on
Featuring Major Celebrities! Now don't go thinking that it's not possible for you not to feature a big celebrity of some kind. I'm going to talk about how you can do that. But don't be afraid to go after those big celebrities because even they can be snagged!
Now it might take quite a bit of time and effort on your behalf to actually find a celebrity worth featuring on your site. And most of them will probably say no unless you're willing to pay them nicely for their time. But there's another way you can do it without having to pay a single penny!
What you have to do is look on Amazon for new books that are released. Sometimes these books are released by some famously well known celebs. Basically, just books that a famous celebrity has written. And this is where you can take advantage of that because usually, while they're in the middle of releasing and launching their new book, they'll take all the exposure and publicity they can get!
So what you would have to do (ideally) is purchase their book and then read it (will help!). And then just literally reach out to them and contact them. Tell them that you've read their book and you think it's truly fantastic. Tell them that you would love to interview them on your site/blog.
Now you'll probably need some sort of fairly popular site/blog for them to agree to this. But even if you don't, if you show a lot of passion, they'll still probably take you up on the interview provided it's not one that lasted too long. Especially if it meant their book would get some free exposure/advertising.
And most new book authors will be holding a lot of interviews on all levels and scales anyway. Just to help them get those initial book reviews and advertising for it. So if you hit them up on the right day at the right time and in the right way, it's possible you could get some interview out of them.
And this would make for some really great content for your site or blog! Especially if their book is somewhat or somehow related to your site or blog. Say, if it touches on something within that book that is somehow relatable to you or your site/blog or business in some way.
But as said, the trick is, to catching them while they've just released their book. Since they'll be looking for all the publicity they can get. They'll be more willing to work with you on it compared to any other time. So strick on them while they're young and you'll be in with a much better chance of them saying YES!
Use All New Book Authors
Of course, if you're looking for content generation ideas, this doesn't have to be just for celebrities! Although if you can interview an actual celeb, that will do your site/blog, business some favour certainly! But this can be done for other authors as well. All you have to do is go on Amazon, search for books, and then sort by newest released.
And the good thing about searching for books on Amazon is that you can sort by category. So you can find those newly released books that are in YOUR niche! Here below, I've put a list of the current book categories on Amazon along with the number of books that are within those categories;
- Arts & Photography (1,647,537)
- Biographies & Memoirs (522,349)
- Business & Money (1,840,969)
- Calendars (307,411)

- Parenting & Relationships (241,114)
- Politics & Social Sciences (1,748,917)

- Travel (457,516)
You can also sort by
- Award Winners
- Bargain Books
- Best Books of the Month
- Books in Spanish
- Children's Books
- Deals in Books
- Spring Reading
And my personal favourite "
Coming Soon". Why is that my personal favourite? Because this category shows you about books that are going to be published on Amazon soon. And this means you can find out when it's going to be released, buy it, read it and then you can be one of the first people to reach out and contact them about a possible interview.
Remember - in the first days of launching their book, they'll be looking for all the extra publicity, advertising and exposure they can get! So by being one of the first to actually reach out to them and ask them if you can interview them, you'll be more likely to get a resounding yes! As opposed to them saying "No sorry, I've done enough interviews now already."
But that's basically
