I have seen some people in the past advertising for data entry jobs on SEOclerks. If you are really good at data entry why don't you sell your service on there? This is a reliable site with different methods of payment. You can also try your luck at Upwork or Freelancer. These are equally very good sites but you will have many other users competing with you.

I would also recommend just using the SEOClerks or one of the Clerks websites. You can easily list your service, make it appealing then advertise it!

It is worth a shot because not many websites will hire you just for pure data entry job and give you a steady flow of cash.

There are actually a lot of jobs for data entry out there. Unfortunately, there won't be any decent jobs where you can just work for a website, and if there was any then chances are that the pay would be awful. The original poster may be able to get a decent paying job if he went and applied to actually businesses looking for such people although that will require an interview and will most likely be a full time job.

Thanks for the advice I'll be looking into it. Actually what I'm really looking for is a site where all I have to do is register and start working its much easier than going to the whole process of applying for a job, posting services or bidding for one. I've done upwork, Fiverr and freelancer. I'm looking for a simpler one.

Seoclerk or any of the clerk websites would be by recommendation for you. I have seen lots of people take up the opportunity of utilizing the SEOClerks community and it pays very well without any hitches. So therefore, feel free to look it up and participate as you see fit.

Good luck,
Martins.

Be careful of the data entry sites you check on for some are not really okay as someone that is beginning the journey. I've had my experiences with them back in those days when I was starting out and it is not worth it. However, I see other posters telling about Seoclerks and I have to say that the site is good for I've been a member on it for long now to know that they have plans in place to ensure you get paid for whatever service that you offer.

Yeah, others also take advantage of those who are just starting by not paying enough reasoning that your work is subpar.

It's not just about that, but the fact that data entry is very mindless and unskilled work, so there's really nothin to pay for. If it could be done reliably by a machine, it would be. Level of salary / payment always goes hand in hand with how demanding the work is, and data entry is one of the least demanding jobs on this planet.

Are you sure you want to delete this post?

treecko142
You're right, data entry is one of the simplest work available online, and there are also quite a number of sites offering this type of work since it saves more for the business to just outsource the work.

That's what I worry about, with trying to find new data entry avenues. There's a lot of shady companies out there, that are all trying to make money and not really look after their staff...paying peanuts, and expecting the earth. I'd always try and research any company before you work for them, to get a feel for their reputation.

Are you sure you want to delete this post?

treecko142
Yep, I generally research first before I try any online site that offers to pay. Reddit has good subreddits which provide enough background on the sites and helpful user feedback on which works and which take a longer time to pay off.

I think most of these sites that act as a sort of middleman for data entry jobs are awful. Most of them will promise you that they pay well and a lot but in reality, you have to do a lot of work to even get paid a decent amount. What sites did you use in the past and that you had a particularly bad experience with? Was it that they did not pay you or was it that they just did not pay enough for each data entry job?

Are you sure you want to delete this post?

hazelandrea
There are not much legit websites that pays much for data entry but one website that I think has good enough payment is through fiverr. I know a some people who makes a living out of that site and I think that once you have done quite enough projects, you can make the price for every project higher.

Are you sure you want to delete this post?

DarthHazard
You can make a living from sites like Fiverr, but the issue is that most of the time the pay for data entry jobs is going to be low. Once you take into account the fees from Fiverr and the fees that they take for PayPal withdrawals, you get even less which is a huge problem. The best thing to do is to try and find an actual job as a data entry person.

Upwork I think, but there's so many competitors on that site. It's really hard to find your clients there. I also wanted to become online data entry, for additional income. I think I'm going to try their suggestion also, the SEOclerks. I've been advertising my self in Upwork for a month now but still, I'm zero.

I've been working for upwork, freelancer, fiverr and I'm looking for an easier platform I already have mturk I'm looking for something like that.

Are you sure you want to delete this post?

Is the freelancer and fiverr is the same as to upwork? I heard a lot of things about that two sites but never visited because I always forgot their names, and this time you remind me again about them. So I think it's really legit sites.

Are you sure you want to delete this post?

DarthHazard
Unfortunately, I don't. I'll be making sure to keep an eye on the comments that have been posted in this thread to see if someone else can suggest a site that maybe I could take advantage of as well. Usually, any data entry sites and jobs will just not be that great in terms of pay because of how many people are available to do these types of jobs. So they take advantage and keep the pay low because they know people will do it anyway.

Are you sure you want to delete this post?

I checked out SEO Clerks and there's no viable job there for me. The rates are too low, there's someone who's looking to buy 10 articles for $10 and to think that he needs 1500 words minimum per article. Even if plagiarism becomes legal, it's still not worth it. I found a data transcription job in another site paying $2 per 10 minute transcription. I tried it earlier I finished one in 2 hours. I still need practice.

Try to create an account at "upwork.com" there's a lot of available job there that offers that. How ever beware of the employer that you will choose, from my experience I got scam twice, received tons of data entry job, I finished it on time but at the end I couldn't contact the person anymore. Just an advise, find someone near your location if you will go and find data entry job at upwork, that way you can even meet with the person first or your employer to discuss the job and get assurance about the payment after your job.

Yep thanks for the recommendation Gavin I've done work with upwork, freelancer and Fiverr before and it's a hit and miss kind of workplace site. They all have flaws. Some are bidding sites which drives the price down so much it's not worth it. In upwork I got good deals for a time then last December just after completing an assignment they suspended me. Their reason even though i got good reviews is.. that I'm not doing enough contracts. Whatever that means, because I had 3 fixed contracts one after the other all work submitted and flawlessly done and they suspended me.
Hahaha best thing that ever happened to me. I then concentrated on finding a site that is worker friendly where you don't have to bid or negotiate anything. Sites which you just have to log in your account and choose what work you want and start working automatically. And they pay you instantly after you submit your work. I'm interested in those kind of sites.
Kinda like mTurk of Amazon but easier.

It's like this for me "Give me pennies and I'll give you whatever a penny's worth. Pay me right and I'll give you more than you've bargained for."

"Data entry" and "good payment" don't really co-exist, because the tasks are so simple anyways that there is really no need for the employers to paid much for them, as they're just one little level under being completely automated.

That said ClickWorker and Fiverr are probably the easiest ones to get started in, and then you have the usual freelancing platforms, although there you really need to shine to get picked, and it will likely take quite a long while for you to start getting tasks.

Are you sure you want to delete this post?

Kakashi2020
There's a lot of different data entry jobs from the simplest copy typing job to voice encoding and others that need research. Click worker and Fiverr are for entry level beginners. There are many good sites that you only have to login and work without having to bid, promote your services or qualify. I like those kind of sites. And besides they pay higher and faster.

You're right, but still the stuff doesn't really pay all that well. Beats working in some factory for sure, but overall there are much better things to do with your time. If you manage to get a spot doing some highly specialized thing, like legal or medical transcription, then you're probably going to make a decent living, but otherwise it's going to be a tough hill to climb.

Are you sure you want to delete this post?

Well, I'm about to think this is completely true. I've checked Fiverr, Freelancer, Upwork, and honestly they all have the same issue, they require a lot of time for very few payment. As you explain, tasks tend to be very simple, and obviously the earning per task is is simple too. I guess the best that could happen is to be picked by one employer, usually through those platforms, so you can make a very personal job, and shine for yourself.

Transcribeme if you are okay with transcriptions. You just take a test and if you pass it, you'll have jobs available for you which you can check in your own time, and they're just short snippets about 1-5 mins so it's perfect if you have other jobs to do.

There are also sites like Rev, GoTranscript, and Scribie that offers audio transcription jobs. I haven't started there yet but some of these sites exams and guidelines are strict and detailed. There are some feedbacks that some of them aren't worth it but I can't prove that since I haven't tried them myself.

Are you sure you want to delete this post?

treecko142
From my research before (when I tried transcribing), those sites aren't worth it since they essentially pay less but also the audio quality is much worse so you spend a lot of time doing work. The audio files are also much longer so it's more effort for less pay.

Are you sure you want to delete this post?

EfficientNinja
We've read the same reviews. I've tried the exam for Scribie and man, the audio is really crappy as they say. It's not really hard if the speaker is talking near the mic but they expect you to transcribe things that I consider mumbles and can't hear whatever I do with my headphones' settings. It's really not worth it.

Are you sure you want to delete this post?

treecko142
Yeah, also the quality is inconsistent in some audio files, so you start transcribing a bit since the first 2 minutes have good quality, then the remainder is just too hard to understand, you just wasted a good few minutes only to reject the "job offer".

Are you sure you want to delete this post?

EfficientNinja
This! This is what I experienced with them annoyed the hell out of me. I noticed that during the exam, you can play a demo of the audio and you accept it thinking it's quality is like that the whole audio. But no! Almost half of the audio is incomprehensible.

I am not fast in transcribing so it's like I already wasted 30 minutes or 1 hour transcribing before rejecting the task.

Are you sure you want to delete this post?

treecko142
You're not alone, my friend, haha. At least, more people get informed about these practices before they try and transcribe for some of these sites. I had some experience back in school being part of a group who made transcriptions for class lectures, and I can't figure out what kind of recorder they use for such poor quality audio files.

I had watched some online jobs in youtube and I saw the videos of this person (his from Philippines) I 'd subscribed this person because I already tried some of online job that he referred and I can say that the sites that he referred are very legit. One of the site he had mentioned was the GoTranscript.com . I haven't tried this one yet but I'll try it soon. I think this is legit because he showed from his video the offers and the payments he had received. But first you will have to take a test if you are qualified as he mentioned in his video so you have to review the guidelines to be able to pass the test.
You can also try 2captcha, I hope this one helps.
If you are okay with other jobs then try Usertesting.com. You just have to follow instructions and answer the questions based on the clients questionnaire. As long as you can speak in english clearly.

You can also try FreeUp site. It's for freelancers also and I think data entry is also available there. You can earn as high as $5 per hour so if you work for that client for many hours then lucky for you. It depends on what skills you have, if you go with transcriptions you can also work for it.

Are you sure you want to delete this post?

Kakashi2020
Haha you got 1 and there's a lot more gotranscript is a new site that offers an easy way of earning income without any hassles of bidding, haggling or posting your services. No lengthy process of approvals and registration. You get paid as soon as you finish what your doing. To get a job, just choose 1 and finish it. There's a lot of transcription jobs there open. Transcribe me is another such site with a lower pay. One of the oldest sites is mTurk it's an Amazon company there's a lot of different micro jobs there. But there's better SITES out there and one must keep searching to find them. Took me 6 months to find my line up. And I'm doing all of them daily for 12hours even now while writing this.

Are you sure you want to delete this post?

I know I might be asking a lot but are you willing to give hints or leads to the sites you're earning from? I know we're from the same country but I wasn't able to start at mTurk because they said they're only accepting people from the US. I know that you've put quite the effort into finding these sites and I would understand if you can't share it with me. Do you know of any data entry site that pays good money and has a fast payment system?

I'll be checking GoTranscript and UserTesting. I hope I'll be able to earn from them. Do you know of any data entry site that pays good money and has a fast payment system?

If you're looking for a good paying site to augment your writing income, I don't think you have to go far. There are stable writing sites that pay better than data entry sites and one is based in your own country. That local writing site is even much better than iwriter because you don't have to deal directly with clients and you never have to bid for writing jobs. You get to choose your topic and get paid within 24 hours after approval.

You only need an email address and a cellphone number to register and you can start claiming projects. No tests whatsoever. You can even earn withdrawal bonuses if you wait for your funds to accumulate. If you can get yourself promoted to prime writer or elite writer, you'll have access to higher paying projects. Better still, if you get promoted to elite writer status, you'll be paid double the rate. These freelance writing jobs pay so much better than the online transcription or data entry jobs mentioned here.

Mturk is old news and it's membership is restricted to US-based workers so not every one can possibly do micro jobs on there. Of course, there are better sites out there and many Turkers are abandoning ship to join this one special site where workers can earn $100-$200 dollars for a day of relatively easy tasks requiring human intelligence. This site is open to international workers unlike MTurk. We get access to our funds 24 hours after submitting the task and the payment is credited to our Paypal account within a few seconds after requesting for payment.

Are you talking about essays.p h which gets contracts from upwork and mTurk? They pay you $4 for a job you can get at those sites for $40.

coolavendar,
I am looking for better paying websites along these lines. I really appreciate your post here, too. I have not had much luck with data entry sites, and frankly, that work pretty much puts me to sleep. I have never heard of iwriter--what is the name of the site that pays within 24 hours? That sounds awesome. If you could steer me towards one of these sites, I would seriously appreciate it! I have been freelancing for over a year now, and I am starting to feel a bit frustrated and fatigued from it, so I could use a boost of encouragement by getting a bit more cash for the hard work I am doing!

I think you are very much qualified for it. The site's name is Hybrid. Yeah, I can understand the feeling of getting tired from doing the same things over again and only earning so much after a day's work. I can't talk at length about the exact work that we do at the site but they are generally better paying than most sites and easier as well. Another plus is that you don't have to bid for work at all. If you are freelancing full time, it can provide a regular source of income.

I find it exciting to work at a variety of tasks that require the use of human intelligence. We do data mining and analysis that can't be accomplished by AI. However, there's more to this site than those tasks which they call HITs. They have big name clients who are willing to pay the site to provide better platform, service, and experience for their users. We call hotels all over the world to make sure that a popular booking site has accurate information on their services. We can work around the clock if we want to. There are a variety of tasks on the board and they get consumed real fast by workers.

The site's pay is so competitive that we have to keep the quality up all the time. No member would want to lose his/her slot on this site. It has truly made a huge impact on my finances. These days, I have less need to 'make the rounds' of different earning sites. How to join this site? That is the question. From time to time, they come up with advertisements at sites that they think can be a good source for a batch of remote workers. I was fortunate to have been a member of one of these sites.

This was my question before. I am taking it hard to find a site that will pay me by doing them data entry works. But it leads me to upwork and other site that offers work like data entry. And I saw some site that seems legit in this thread. So I am going to try that.

Try gotranscript, transcribeme, freelancer, freeup, microworker, mTurk, emotionminer for data entry work. There's a lot more sites which offer good rates you just have to find them. Try SEO Clerks even Word Clerks and Listing Dock go to their MTB look if there's jobs available also post your services there.
I just posted mine yesterday it's called Blog Comments and Forum Posts.

Captcha solving sites are created with the sole intention of making it easier for spammers to do what they do best.

Each time someone solves a captcha on one of these sketchy sites, someone gets to post some spammy link somewhere or register on a site so they can flood that site with numerous links promoting their products or services.

Since the business (captcha solving) itself is unethical, I doubt the owners even come close to being honest individuals which is why anyone who works on these sites should expect to earn $0.

For me I would suggest fiverr and Upwork because they are the sites that offer a lot of opportunities regarding data entry jobs. They offer a good pay rate with a great payment option. It is really fast and efficient for me, but sometimes it needs a lot of patience and dedication in order to succeed in data entry jobs and to earn more in it. If you have a great skills out there then there will be a high possibility that you will earn more and have a decent income about it. Just give your best and full knowledge and it will really a big advantage on your side since on those sites competitions are very high that is why it is up to us to provide competitive skills that are very reliable to companies out there and for us also to gain a competitive advantage.

What do you mean your in? You will just submit your article and wait for them to pay you? or you also need to advertise your self also to get some clients to work with? or the "Your in" is just a test or let me say initial exam to know if you're qualified for that site?

It means there are jobs available like essays.ph and you just pick a job and do it or you could claim it, sometimes they would also give or recommend jobs to you. It's not like you have to vie for a job or apply for one. Another good one is a French site called Ferpection.com, where they will give you writing assignments like writing reviews etc.

It's really hard to start as freelancer or for being in data entry online because of so many competitors who also want that job. I remembered when I was in Upwork, I need to wait for almost 5 months to get my first client, and the I offered my service for free because of some advice. They said I need to do that so the client will hire me again and will pay me for the second project, and the good thing about that, the client will recommend you to other clients.

Are you sure you want to delete this post?

Having the client to recommend you to other client is a good way of selling your skills. That is why you should always do your job properly and responsibly, so when the time come it is us that will matter.

Are you sure you want to delete this post?

Yeah, but still, it's really hard to do that, specially for the clients, because I'm sure they will try all the freelancers first before they will stick to one article writer. They need more options and better freelancer to do their job, so they will make a test for a while by trying all the available freelancers.

Working for free is the dumbest thing you can do. At best you can give a quick tip or advice to your client without charging them for that, but doing any work without payment will only hurt the whole industry in the long term when the employers grow accustomed to getting stuff done for free.

Always remember that no amount of "recognition" will bring food to the table.

Yes, exactly. I have always this thought of mine before that helping for free is very nice and I always wanted to be recognized as a good person. But I've come on thinking about the reality of life outside my box. It is really broad and we need to be really wise to all of our actions, but it does not mean that I will drag other down just to lift up my self since I have this quote with me for a long time and this serves my inspiration and it is blowing out other people's candle does not make yours glow brighter.

I have tried some data entry such megatypers and protypers but I have not been successful for these sites since I have a problem in its loading of image . Most of the time I feel bored to do it and sometimes I get kicked out from inactivity in typing because the loading of image is very slow. I am not really sure if this could be a great one.

Are you sure you want to delete this post?

I've been to the data entry job before, but I'm not really sure if it is the same as yours since you mentioned about loading of the image. But it seems not at the same time because you're being monitored from your typing status. If it isn't due to their system, then your internet speed must be horrible.
