Brand Building & how I attract new eyeballs to my clients businesses. Part 2

My Brand building business. Part 2.

As I was an active seller on SEOClerks, I obviously started out by creating a service. I can recall the exact title I used but I probably used something like:

"I will help you to get attention from potential clients" or something fishy-looking like that. - Even though I was correct on that part, it still is a title that people jump to conclusions about, even before they've read the description.

And that was an horrible experience. - Within minutes, or hours at least, I had to answer several questions about what I was actually going provide. What was my service all about?

As I'm not native in English, this was, and still is today, something that makes me feel a bit hesitant. I know that I won't be able to explain what I want to say properly at some times, and that would obviously make it harder for me to make sales.

I tried and tried, several times. I failed and ended up with more failures along the way.. - And I was about to give up, but I'm not a known quitter and I couldn't just walk away.

I started to analyze others services and I started to read and analyze e-books, guides and sales letters. I did my fair share of mistakes but I also ended up with some copywriting skills along the way.

I could obviously just have hired a superb copywriter to write my title and description for me. - And I had thoughts of doing that, but seriously though.. If I can't even explain to my potential clients what I was going to provide, I couldn't waste a couple of hundred dollars on a copywriter to do it for me. - He wouldn't have understood what I was trying to do either.

- So what did I do then?

I read things, I analyzed it and I did some research. I wanted to become a better writer obviously, but that wasn't even on my mind at that point. I was just trying to explain to people what I could do for them.. And why they should use my services instead of doing it themselves.

That was probably the hardest part. - To figure out the correct sentences to write, so others would click that "order button" instead of doing things themselves.

If you're up for it, read part 3 and you'll see how I managed to do it.

Nice Andre. I love what you said about getting people to pay you to do things that they could just do themselves.

I am always looking for an easier way to do things and to spread awareness of my websites. I am a one lady show here and it is not easy keeping up with fresh content on my websites regularly, promoting on social networks, email marketing, building backlinks and all the other little things that need to get done.

If I see a service that I can see will make my life loads easier I will want to buy it, even if I can't afford it I will want it.

Thank you Lynne!
Yeah, I've always been doing business like that. I've always been that kind of person in real life too. I can totally help people out and I can do things for them, even though they can do it themselves. But why should they, in case I can do it for them?

If I do something for them, they can spend that time on something else, and because I do it, I'll also charge something to do it. It's an easy business to maintain as long as you are professional and make sure that all your clients really understands what they will be paying for.

Oh yeah, writing a good service description! That's the most important thing you can do when you first begging selling services on marketplaces like WordClerks!

You need to test multiple descriptions, notice what works and what converts and implement that on all of your services. Keep in mind your description needs to be simple so the potential buyer won't be bored but complex enough so he well is convinced that what you are offering is worth buying!

PS: I really understand you from the English point of view! We will never be at the level of English native writers, only thing we can do is try and improve!

You are totally correct! - On a marketplace like Wordclerks, the very first thing you'll need is a "killer title". The title is the first thing a person will see, and that title will decide if the people will be potential buyers to begin with.

When they click the title, then they're interested. - Which basically means that you've got a potential buyer.

And here comes the second most important thing on a marketplace like wordclerks. The description. Exactly as you said, there's a number of things you want to explain and do, and you'll have to change, edit and alter your words, your sentences, images and everything within the description multiple times before you come up with something truly great.

There are a lot of tools that can help you creating a good title with high CTR, the same rules apply as the ones you implement for getting a better CTR from organic ranking. Follow the same rules for a killer description once the user clicks your title and you are good to go.
