Writing down random thoughts to create a Masterpiece.

Writing down random thoughts to create a Masterpiece.

Writing a masterpiece is something some writers do not plan but actually a river of free flowing thoughts written in a piece of paper.

How am I going to write something near perfection? How would I start? How would I end it? Where can I find inspiration or what topic is the best to choose? These are the things writers ask themselves before writing a masterpiece. But is there an easy way to work things out? Easy way doesn't mean you won't put any effort. Easy way means the process of doing so felt like effortless. Writing down random thoughts out of nowhere is a very good habit for a writer to do so because you'll never know when you'll be able to use that idea. Some writers find inspiration even in their past dreams or childhood memory. Writing down these random thoughts and treating them as your babies would someday pay off for you. You just have to put them together like a puzzle or create something new from each and every piece.

Being a writer is fun when you love what you're doing and making a masterpiece is not a piece of cake. It is absolutely worth all the effort though and very satisfying while you are doing it especially once it was done. But there is nothing more enjoyable for a writer than the time he/she is just working on making a new well written thought and ideas.

I keep my random thought in notebooks as though they are my diary. They are dated and they have very different topics. Some entries are ideas for a book. Some are dialogues. Some are verses for a poem. And even some are just pieces of personal proverbs, idioms and puns that I may never be able to use in a story or an article. Nevertheless, these random thoughts are well kept for reasons other than they are very amusing to read over and over again. I treat them as though they are pieces of the masterpieces I am to create.

It really is. I have been doing it since high school so it is already a habit before I got to use digital notes. Oh, the things that I write back then. There were a lot of cheesy entries. haha

I also kept a diary before and I that is where I used to write down my feelings or happening in my day to day lives. I think that is how I improved my writing skills as it helped me a lot on how to write something in a right manner.

Me too, when I was in highschool I had a diary and when i read it i laugh so hard.

That's very encouraging advice. I feel like there are two kinds of masterpieces. One is something you're proud of despite all its faults and limitations. And the other is technical perfection in the sense that many people actually believe it to be one.

Sometimes it's best to just write and let things play out. Because people's reactions are uncontrollable and somewhat unpredictable. What you can control is your will to write. So keep writing no matter what.

I write my random thoughts through my phone's notepad. I must say that if ever I lose my phone, I might go crazy, as I have a lot of ideas that need polishing. A lot, and it would tire me to even copy all of them one by one.

Try using cloud storages. You could upload such data on cloud so that if you ever lose your device you could always access them. There are apps that directly save to cloud storages like google drive. For my phone I use Snote and WPS office. For my laptop I use google docs.

Me too! When I say that I wouldn't survive without my phone I am not talking about Instagram, Whats app or something like that, I am talking about Notepad! I write essays for school there, some random quotes that I read on posters or commercials, thoughts, cool sentences...

Oh, I do that too - my notes are full with bits and pieces. What I've been trying to do more though is use the Google Docs app for my random thoughts on the go. The fact that it's auto saved and accessible from more than one location puts my mind at ease.

Exactly! If you are the observant type of person, there are so many things that would give you an insight to writing a great article if you are open to it.

Writing down your random thoughts and later developing it into a full blown article is something very realistic because I do it all the time.

A majority of my random thoughts are stored on the quick notes app in my phone or in the evernote app. I like Evernote more since it can be used even across different devices and data is never lost as long as you use the app with your email account synced.

That is pretty okay for you as you have those apps at your disposal. I believe that being a writer is all about having the ability to store up any random thought that comes up at your mind in any given time as well.

Creating a masterpiece is the work of a master who has a lot of experience in the field of writing which obviously will come with time. However, writing down your random thoughts that come to your mind is a very good way of getting new ideas. I have this habit of scribbling things that come in my mind. Sometimes you are amazed at the ability of our mind to think about a variety of subjects and it does make some sense when you read all those thoughts together at the end of the day.

I have noticed that ideas come to my mind when I am driving alone in my car. Blogging is not easy and I had experienced that before as a co-blogger. My best articles were even published in a major magazine here that I consider them masterpieces. Maybe it is just an accident that I was able to turn out good articles but perhaps it is my passion. Ideas that I note down on my small notebook would serve as my inspirational guide when I am going to write an article. I scan the list and would always come up with something to write.

You will get a masterpiece, if you will do everything just to achieve it, just put your heart and efforts into it.

I agree as well. Just make sure that you dedicate all your efforts and somehow it will come out incredibly. Also, it is important to have some sort of a passion in whatever you are writting.

For my poems, they come from inspiration and nature. I also try to pick up a few things from romance and love but most times, I have this personal theory that love and romance is overatted.

It's in the quest for writing on other subject that my random thoughts seems to be very helpful in getting me to accomplish my goals.

Most of the time I am wring some random thoughts on a piece of a scratch paper because I want first to screen those good ideas to the unhelpful ones before transferring them into the final piece of paper for final writing so that I can still check properly and verified the consistency and reliability of the article that I am writing before publishing it to avoid some technical errors later on. It is also good to ensure that I will come up with the best and accurate writings.

Ideas usually come when you are alone and observing things around you. You always ask questions about your self, you will appreciate things that surrounds you and then eventually it will become your ideas. It will inspire to write it down depending on how you view your day as of the moment.

Writing down your random thoughts is a great way to keep them. For a person like me who can easily forget things, it is important to have a small notebook and pen and write down every idea that comes to my mind. There are circumstances wherein I cannot remember an idea that I have after a few hours.

Are you sure you want to delete this post?

Seriously, I have suffered from this situation of forgetfulness on more than one occasion and it gets annoying most times because I would prick my mind for hours without remembering what I had known before.

Now, I have a very small notebook where I pen down some of my random thoughts in order not to forget them. It's been absolutely helpful.

This is what I used to do before. As much as possible, I do not let writing affect any schedule that I have with the family. But there are times that you cannot finish all of it in time so you can go out freely to the mall with the kids. What I do is I take advantage of using my mobile phone in filling up parts of my article whenever I have something in my thought while walking around the mall with the kids. At the end of the day, I will just review it to make sure everything is good for submission. It is like hitting everything in one stone. I was able to go to the mall with the kids and finish my article without stressing myself too much. Sometimes good ideas to put in the article pops up when you are not in front of the computer thinking of it.

I love that idea. I actually heard that idea in one of the seminars I attended. I always keep sticky note-like note pad to jot down random thoughts and keep it in a box. I used that to create my preaching sermons. That random thoughts was not just random thoughts. It was Rhema.

Creating a masterpiece isn't something that is done overnight. Sure the inspiration can strike when you least expect it.

That rarely happens however. What is more likely is you'll suddenly think of something you can use. You write that down. And you keep doing it and until you've collected ideas which once "composited" can be used to create a masterpiece.

That is how "Mrs Doubtfire" the book was created.

Are you sure you want to delete this post?

I had no idea that's how Mrs Doubtfire came about - and what a classic that ended up being! I love the movie adaptation, it still makes me laugh if I watch it all these years later.

I do this at times and usually either in a notebook or if I have no notebook I save the thoughts into my phone. I have even been known to watsapp my daughter so I kept the thoughts. It is a good way to begin writing fiction.

Sometimes I think that random thoughts pieced together are what creates a complete work. Whenever I write something I usually brainstorm for a bit, writing down dot-points with ideas or random thoughts. Eventually, all those random thoughts tend to get my full article written! Slow and steady wins the race!

I usually write when I am down or there is something going onto my life. I write as it lets me burst out my feelings that I can't express. When that happens, my hand will just write and write until I already have nothing to write about. It's just about that I kept on writing whole the ideas kept on flowing onto my mind and that came my heart.

I also write whatever thoughts I have on mind on a piece of paper. So, I will not forget what my thoughts are. This will give me guidance to compose a good article or writings. But, sometimes I lose the interest of what I wrote. Feelings are no longer the same. I have so many thoughts that I cannot put into writings.

Writers are often advised to have a diary and pencil with them at all times. Any time you think of something you write it down even if it is late at night. It is possible that you might have a great idea about something but fail to remember it the next day. Even if you don't use it immediately eventually you might.

Yes, I agree with you. It's best to have a notebook and pen ready to use. Anytime a thought or idea comes in mind. It's also a good compilation and prevent it from losing. Mostly, of the time I only used paper to write all my thoughts and I throw it. When I remember I search it on the thrash can. I will try to practice and discipline myself to write on notebooks.

As soon as I have an idea I write it down. You never know if you will remember it. Before I begin to write an article I write down my thoughts on the subject. I then fill in the gaps through research. I also use any ideas I had noted down before.Everything then comes together to create the perfect master piece.Writing is a process in my opinion and to create a masterpiece you have to go through the process, as hard as it may seem sometimes.

I have always thought that knowing how our brain works is one of the best ways we can overcome any resistance or fear of writing. That is, if you know how your creativity works, maybe you will master it. For me, every creative process goes through four phases: preparation, incubation, discovery, and the actual start.

I keep my random thoughts on the phone first and then transfer it on my notebook. Is it weird to say that I even write down my dreams especially if its a story? Sometimes the most amazing storyline I write is from my dreams. When I wake up I write it so that I won't forget. Have you ever experienced this?

Haven't been able to write a really great work, but I do want to and I hope I would be able to someday. Most random thoughts that come to my mind our related to my life and the things that I want to happen. So if I were to write my masterpiece, it is about me or a story about me that I want to happen or the things that I think should'vr happen. With that, I am able to include all of my thought in one story, even if the thought is not so connected to the story.

Are you sure you want to delete this post?

Well, yeah. Most of the time the things that I write is connected to me. Usually, the best stories come from personal experience as stated by one of my friends. As for me, I haven't made any masterpiece but I am not losing hope. As long as I love writing, I will continue to write until that day will come.

Hi!

Yeah, I concur with the given points here. Masterpiece is something rare and unique, but I think every person has the chance to create one. It's just something magical within us.
Personally, from my experience, the most annoying thing was when I had thoughts for a masterpiece in my head, but I couldn't write it down somewhere to remember all the necessary details (I was at work for example), so I used to get upset when I forgot it.

It's very important to carry a pen with yourself to take down notes, especially if you're a busy person as I'm.

I love the part about writing down old memories and dreams. Nothing reaches the audience or reader more than the writer's deepest thoughts. There truly is something marvelous about putting your soul into creativity that makes it spark. Collecting such ideas by writing them down in an idea book is a great way to not forget them, and someday down the line, when you read those ideas, you might just feel tgat feeling that leads great writers to write masterpieces.

I store and keep most of my random thoughts on a notepad app on my phone, that way I can immediately access it if an idea suddenly comes up or a quote or a phrase that I encounter evoked something in me. Sometimes all you need is a single idea to flesh out a forgotten project or to finish ones that have remained stagnant due to a block.
