    As a writer we all want to earn the best money we can doing writing jobs.  Nowadays there's a lot of ways a writer can earn online, what to you is the most profitable way of earning using writing skills?

    Writing e-books and selling them at competitive prices can be a very lucrative way to earn money out of one's writing and technical skills. We may not have what it takes to be another J.K. Rowling, but if we have specific skills and knowledge that we can share through e-books, then it's worth taking the chance. Having your own blog and getting paid for sponsored posts can also add up. If we want fast and steady stream of income as writers without investing money and taking too much risk, content mills can provide that buffer. I also find it profitable to work on jobs that involve writing about user experience on certain websites or apps.

    It isn’t going to be easy, but obviously the best way of making money as a writer is selling novels. The problem here is that not everyone is going to be the next J.K Rowling and make literal billions from selling books. That being said, writing an ebook and selling it online still wouldn’t be a bad way of making money.

    Another good way is to start a blog. It takes a lot more time investment upfront, but if you can get decent traffic to your website, a blog can be a pretty lucrative means of making cash. Not to mention that once you get a decent archive of posts, it’ll allow you to generate passive income.

    Well there's a lot of ways but also lots of competition, writing as a form is somehow generic it differs on how a writer connects with the audience in my opinion. Also the content and topic is very crucial on how you maintain your stature as a writer. One option is maintaining an expertise on a certain topic like Nature, Sports, Entertainment Etc...

    What comes to my mind right now is blogging. If you have the skills for writing and you have the time to write then it is a good idea to open up your own blog, have it monetized with ads and promote it to social media. That is one of the easiest way of earning decent money online. And if your blog becomes trending or viral then you can be an influencer and with your very popular blog, you can earn a lot of money.

    With a lot of time and effort, a blog can definitely be a fantastic way of earning money from writing. Not to mention the fact that it acts as a live portfolio where you can show you work to potential clients who might want to hire you as a guest writer. It’s definitely worth investing one’s time in a blog. Like you mentioned though, there’s also the chance of going viral. No one ever knows or can expect if they’ll go viral or not, it’s like the lottery. But there’s always the chance that you might, and that can help bring in some serious traffic and income.

    I think Blogging is really a great way to earn if one has a knack for writing. Although making money from a blog can be really difficult. You can't really earn by just creating a blog you must monetize it and monetizing it is a lot of work. It's not an easy thing, one needs to spend a lot of time and effort to have a successful earning blog.

    I freelance through a few sites, and honestly some independent companies pay quite well. I do some travel writing about Japan and some sites I wish I could get more work through because they pay 50-60 US per article of around 2000 words - which to me isn't too difficult to write when it's content I know about!

Once you get some decent traffic going, you can start monetizing your site through programs like AdSense or certain Affiliate programs, and you can generate both passive and active income. Either starting a blog or an article-based site is the way to go.

    While a blog can still feel very professional, creating an article-based site where you can one day hire writers is an ambitious but potentially very lucrative goal.

The first hard phase is getting your new website up and running. Try as much as you can not to rely on free features for your website because it's going to have a negative impact on your business while using paid features will add more value to your website. Once the traffic starts coming up front, your breakthrough is sure.

    You can also sell it on tv networks.
    If you are that creative writer, you can also use the skill in applying on tv networks. There are networks who are in need of writers and story makers.

    Oh we don't have to be that negative on certain things. I am just saying that being on top or you being successful isn't just made all night. We need to accept the fact that we will encounter failures, many times. As long as we are trying and not losing hope then we still have chance on success. And that quotation shows encouragement to the people actually, but not literally help us directly on whatever we want to do. It depends on the person's perception of how encouraging the quotation is.

    Cashing in from books either offline or online is definitely the target of many writers. It is however difficult to get there without sufficient practice. One needs to hone their skills first through freelance articles. After that one can advance to having their own website and blogging can be a great way of testing how great people love the content one puts out. It would then be very easy to proceed to writting a book.

    One writer friend said that it is easy for a writer to write books but it's doubly hard to find a reader much more with a publisher. Unless you are a writer and publisher at the same time, selling your e-book is like peddling your wares to potential customers in the market. But once you become a established writer then you are on your way to the bank.

    Blogging is probably one of the best ways to make money on the internet with your writing skills. Not only will you be able to do what you love but you can also choose to write about what you like as well. It's quite easy to setup as well (I would recommend Wordpress to you). And it's not too expensive to setup either which makes it a good and not very risky either.

    Right now I have to agree that blogging on social media platforms in a niche that you're an authority and you have passion in is the best way to earn.

    A good way is by monetizing your social media sites, there's a lot of ways of doing this all you need is some creativity and the money would start coming in. I'm starting to monetize my sites and hopefully it would earn me a continuous profit.

    I think the forum sites who willing to pay just to share your thoughts or ideas. Although the income is not that high and just more on extra income compare to bloggers and selling Ebooks online, you still able to earn from this and you don't need to spend a lot of your time.

    I don't think this is the most profitable way. I say that because I have writing friends who make more money from their writing work. But it is a way that is working for me.

    ~ Publish articles at a respected site.
    ~ Publish a stand-alone blog.
    ~ Join a social blogging community or forum that has an earning program where you can earn for both writing and commenting.

    This is what I am doing now but I am constantly looking out for more writing opportunities that generate income.

    Writing novels are proven to be a great way to earn big but of course this will take time and a lot of work. Believe in your writing skills that you can do this. Write your best novel and submit them to publishers. You can still do work at the side while waiting for publishers to call you. This way, you are still earning while waiting to make it big.     Yes, I also think that if you want to earn big by writing then you have to be an author of books, a journalist, a blogger, or a columnist. Take note, those are professional jobs. But in that way, you will earn more unlike being just a freelance writer though if you are lucky to find a client who employs writer for his/her business then it's good for you.     Do you want to make money with that? Then look for microniches and write about a particular topic that has a lot of demand.

    Do you want to write for yourself? Then write anything.

    I took advantage of my writing skill way back in college. I wrote essays for my classmates and sometimes students from other programs. College students are lazy to write this kind of stuff and I earn a lot by writing for them. I took the next level by writing some research papers which really is a great help way back then. Even though I had to repeat the contents to other students but I always make sure that is made of quality. I also took part in some thesis writing but it was for the early chapters only.

    I don't know where I read or heard this but someone said the most profitable way to make money is by creating a product that will continue earning money long after you get the job done.

    Wherever there is the potential of earning passive income from your writing, that is where you'll make a lot of money (though yeah I must admit, "a lot" is subjective).

    Starting a blog, writing an ebook, etc - those in my opinion are some of the most profitable ways of earning money from writing even though initially, for some time, your writing may not earn you much. You'll need to be patient and keep working hard.
