I’d say for me it honestly depends of the content of the piece I’m writing. Some stuff is so easy to write that it feels like I could write forever - and it’s highly energizing and doesn’t really feel like hard work. Other stuff, where I have to do a ton of research, can be heavily exhausting!

I feel you, there are topics that really exhaust you even if you love writing.

Are you sure you want to delete this post?

amelia88
Yes, sometimes even if I’m writing for the same length of time, I find myself envigorated when I’m writing about something I am knowledgeable about but exhausted if it’s something I’m not as familiar with. I’m sure most people in the writing profession feel the same way!

Yea it's a general problem with all writers not exceptional and it happens most time when writing as far as writing profession is involved.

Are you sure you want to delete this post?

nrnlss
True, if you lack at knowledge over that topic it is very hard to write about it even if you've done some research about it.

Are you sure you want to delete this post?

ElectorAlexande
Yea that's true because some topics will make you think and think that you will have to drop your pen and rest for a little while before continuing.

Are you sure you want to delete this post?

nrnlss
I agree, I honestly prefer writing an article about topics that I already know, because ideas flow easily with that.

Yes because not all the time our mind are working. We also need to rest our mind. It is also frustrating for the writers when they have writes block. as much as you want to continue working but brain won't function.

Are you sure you want to delete this post?

Yea thats true, some topic can be really exhausting and some fun. It basically depends on the content.

I can relate. Some articles can exhaust you to an extent of taking a break. I recently did a research paper, which made me take a day to refresh. On the other hand, I there are some articles that energize me.

Are you sure you want to delete this post?

nrnlss
I agree, I did a lot of research paper when I was still studying and I swear it is the most exhausting content to write.

I can relate so much to this. If it's an interesting subject, I won't even notice time passing by, enjoying everything I type. If it's because of a flash of inspiration in the middle of the night, I forget about sleep. However, if it's something related to work that is boring or too dense, forget about it. It's like I'm dragging a weight.

I don't remember being energized when I write but more often than not I am exhausted especially when I am writing a blog because I have to review many times what I have written. In fairness to this topic, I know of a writer who gets an adrenaline rush when he is writing because his mind is full of ideas that he wanted to express in his writing. He said that it is difficult when his head is full of ideas that he feels physically weak so he needed to have an outlet for the ideas.

I love to write and find it hard to stop. Other things can tire me out, but I will spend hours writing. Then I find things I wrote before and update them. Writing is a great way of using my time.

Are you sure you want to delete this post?

It's nice when something is such a passion in life that you can spend hours doing it and almost lose track of time. It's also great when you can take a passion and turn it into something that generates an income too - very rewarding!

Are you sure you want to delete this post?

I can see how passionate you are with writing and it is really admirable.

Are you sure you want to delete this post?

Yea sometime I wonder if I can ever be too passionate with writing the way it is to some.

Ultimately it is, you just continue to hit new ideas and update the already existing one making a great content out of it.

I do believe that if you truly love what you are doing, you will never get tired of it. If that thing exhausting you, ask your heart and you will know the answer.

Are you sure you want to delete this post?

It depends on the topic, if it is heavy and not the usual topic i write, I usually gets exhaust, but when I like it I will be excited and energized.

Are you sure you want to delete this post?

amelia88
I think that’s why I try to gravitate towards the writing topics I enjoy rather than things which drain my brain. I never want to lose my passion for writing, and if I write about things I’m not personally interested in then it absolutely becomes exhausting.

Are you sure you want to delete this post?

nrnlss
Yes me too, sometimes those topics that drains you out is the reason why you stop writing.

Are you sure you want to delete this post?

luv2xacosta
Well it depends. If someone is forcing me to write a chose article or topic, I would be lose my concentration especially if i don't like the topic. When writing of something you have to feel it and understand from it. It's like you let your emotions flow when you are writing from the heart. That's why when a person is not interested it makes him/her exhausted because the brain cells is not working.

I think that writing a book or article for a long time might be exhausting and tiring at some time because we are thinking too much just to have a great ideas. It is great if we will just have some break for a couple of minutes or hours when making some long articles or books so that we will not feel so much tiredness for a given period of time. We really need it for us to stay refresh and motivated to continue working.

Are you sure you want to delete this post?

I think if you like the topic that you are writing then it will never exhaust you. Writing something that you like will make you energize and exciting to write. In addition, if you have skills and passion for writing, this should be something that is easy to do for you without the feeling of exhaustion.

Are you sure you want to delete this post?

esteban123
Yes I agree on you since I have experience it before, it is really helpful and beneficial on our part if we will choose to write those topics that we have some great interest since we can easily wrote some ideas without forcing our minds for thinking too much. It will really help us to become more motivated to write since we enjoy what we are doing.

Are you sure you want to delete this post?

Right! If you like or if you have a strong interest in the topic then you will be able to share all your wisdom. I agree with you that there is no need to force your mind and every word will just come out naturally. Writing an article that you really like is just a piece of cake.

Are you sure you want to delete this post?

esteban123
Yes that is really true that is why when I am writing for some articles, I make it sure to have a topic that would really fits my interest and knowledge as well so that it will not be very hard for me to come up with some ideas and I can easily finished it in just a short period of time because I am comfortable about and can make the work runs smoothly and conveniently. I am sure that everything will be fine as long as I really the topic that I am writing for,

Depends on how arduous the project is or was. Some projects are fun to write, others a chore to write.

Are you sure you want to delete this post?

Martinsx1
Exactly! You have a great point on mentioning that there are some writing projects that are very much going to get you exhausted when writing them because of the nature and context of the write up.

If a writing project requires extensive research before getting it done, and would most likely take days before you complete it, it's definitely going to have you exhausted.

Are you sure you want to delete this post?

I tailor this into my freelancing services. I will write almost anything for a client because I believe in my abilities and talents that much. But anyone who wants writing services for a 'get rich quick,' 'gambling,' 'love and dating,' or 'how to sell on ebay' sort of book or ebook I automatically turn those clients away. I can do synopses for documentaries, books, novels, etc. But there's nothing exciting about penning a synopsis for a book that reveals how you can strike it rich on amazon.

I personally think if you love what you write, it'll definitely energize you. But if you don't like it, you'll feel very exhausted. For example, writing something personal to you is very enjoyable like writing your own book, diary or the like. Writing for your work though for the sake of money is something exhausting especially if you're just after the salary and not the work itself. I didn't said that a writing job makes you exhausted but writing something you don't like to do and just doing it to gain something else is really tiring. No matter how hard it is to write something, as long as you enjoy doing it, you'll feel energized rather than exhausted.

Are you sure you want to delete this post?

A lot of the articles I've had to write on freelancer platforms are very boring. They are exhausting to write but if you have two or three more waiting you can't just take a break before the work is done.

That is why though writing articles (about things that don't interest me) is rather exhausting for me, I proceed straight to the next and the next until the three or four articles that have to be written that day are done.

Are you sure you want to delete this post?

Judas2018
This explains also why freelancers exist. People who don't want to pen boring or droll material try and hire us, to do it sometimes.

Are you sure you want to delete this post?

Jeane
And that is exactly why some sites never have someone working for them full time. You can write such articles for a while but there is a time when your mind will demand a break. That is when they'll have to hire someone else.

If you love what you are doing it would never tire you. Writing is one of my hobby and my past time whenever I feel bored, whenever I feel happy and inspired I use to write it on my diary. When my teacher let decide what topic I want to write I always find and inspiration to other people and to my environment. Writing helps us express what we feel.

Are you sure you want to delete this post?

Martinsx1
Exactly! When are definitely in love with writing, there is no way of getting bored or exhausted while at it.

It's only when you are forcing yourself to write when you are very sure that you are wired as a writer, then it's very much going to bore and exhaust you.

I agree with you. If you like what you're writing, then happiness, motivation and energy just comes naturally.

Are you sure you want to delete this post?

If you are doing what you love and enjoy doing, you are definitely going to be energized while doing it. Writing is one of my favorite hobbies, so writing never bores me a single bit.

In fact, sometimes I feel down, I would pick up my pen and start writing because it turns my mood up.

Are you sure you want to delete this post?

Are you sure you want to delete this post?

I wish all of those who are writing for a living are energized whenever they write something. We cannot deny that there are people who become exhausted when they write something especially if they don't like the topic, it's a burden rather than an energizer for them.

I love to write. It is my passion and my hobby. I never get tired writing specially if it is about stories. It makes me feel excited and happy making a world of my own. I can choose the characters, I can choose what happens and I can do things I cannot do in reality. My imagination is the limit. Does anyone feel like this?

Are you sure you want to delete this post?

That's how I do as well. I enjoy writing and each day that I unable to write, it always look as if there is something big that I am missing. Making contents is always the way that I get to relate better with everyone.

Are you sure you want to delete this post?

For me it would depend on the story. There are some stories which are so exciting to write that I just can't get bored. These are the ones I just write with no outline to guide me. The characters themselves lead me wherever they want to.

What I find boring when writing fiction are the expository bits regarding the characters backgrounds, setting the scene and the like.

To be honest, it exhausts me. It gives me mental strain and eventually, a headache. But if I'm interested in what I am writing, I enjoy it even though it makes me tired. The activity itself is exhausting but it's actually fun to do. I don't get energy but I enjoy what I do and what I write.

Are you sure you want to delete this post?

I don't feel tired from writing. This is just the honest truth as I always look for things that I will write. Writing is always cool for me as I remain serious for the way that I write shows that I try to pass information to the people.

Are you sure you want to delete this post?

Writing can be tiring or exhaustive in terms of physical and mental aspects. You need to use your energy as well as your mind to write good stuff and that can drain you. But in terms of passion, nobody gets tired for doing what he love. If you treat writing as your job, you can be exhausted but for someone who treats writing as their passion and purpose, their body may fail but not their heart.

Writing energizes and exhausts me. It actually depends on what I'm working on. I have to admit that I sometimes write things I don't want writing, but I have to earn, and it exhausts me. Many times, when I love what I'm writing, my whole being is motivated and energized.

It depends. There were topics that I could write for over and over again. While there are also topics that I feel like I could have written once and think that it was enough. But writing per se does not tire me out. It is a passion that consumes. After writing, I mostly feel satisfied.

Are you sure you want to delete this post?

That is right. It all depends to the content and the article as well as the mood of the writers. There are also bad times with them which is normal because they are still human.

Are you sure you want to delete this post?

I agree with you, it always depends on what topic you are writing.

Are you sure you want to delete this post?

Both. There are times where I am so ecstatic with coming up something for work, but there are also those instances where I am so uninspired to write. I often get writing jobs wherein I need to write about something that I don't have any clear idea of how it works and rely on pure research. Those are the ones that are exhausting.

Are you sure you want to delete this post?

I agree. When I am not too familiar with the topic, researching is far more exhausting than writing a good content out of it.

Are you sure you want to delete this post?

Sometimes it even takes me 8 hours of research before I even start working. It is pretty challenging to come up with content not knowing what the topic is all about.

I think that it all depends on the content you are writing. If you are writing on a subject that is very interesting and close to your heart then even if you are working for long hours you will never feel the exhaustion. On the other hand when you are writing on subjects that you are not very interested in, then you will definitely feel exhausted and worn out in a couple of hours. Writing on my favorite subject does definitely motivate and energize me.

Are you sure you want to delete this post?

I think both it feels by the writers. There are times that they excites write something and there are times also that they tired doing it. It all depends on the mood and situation too.

It depends on the topic of the piece if the topic that was given to you is not that familiar then it may cause you exhausted because you need to cope up some ideas that is needed in that topic. But when the given task is the one that familiar you to it will energizes you because you know you can finish it and make it full of ideas.

I feel relieved and energized whenever I finish an article or ebook because it usually means money is forthcoming. As someone who writes for money, turning my work in is always an exciting time. I've done difficult and unfamiliar subjects as well as easy ones but the level of accomplishment at reaching the end is the same. Writing can be exhausting if you're forcing yourself to write but not if it's something you enjoy doing. I am still amazed by the fact that I can actually make money by simply writing about things I'm interested in. I may take writing breaks but I always feel drawn to it by some force.

Are you sure you want to delete this post?

I'd say it does a bit of both. Like before writing, I feel energized. I'm filled with much enthusiasm to get my ideas written across. But after some time, I'll need to rest. Writing can also be exhausting. Particularly, if you sit down for hours at a time.

Are you sure you want to delete this post?

I would say that it depends with the mood that I have that day. When I am in the mood to write, I can finish any topic that I am tasked to do. It doesn't really feel tiring for me even if it means I have to research and read before I write when I am unfamiliar with the topic. It would be the other way around if I am not in the mood to write. Even if topics are easy I tire myself easily just by thinking of what to write and how to complete the number of words I am required to provide.

After a lengthy research and article, I always felt very exhausted but satisfied for completing an "important" task. I would sit back and enjoy the comments and feedbacks by the readers before I get another idea to start a new project. Unless the length is short, I never started a new article immediately after the old one.

It depend's on the topic that you are writing if you like the topic then you will enjoy writing about it but if you just write a topic just to be known by the people around you then it will exhaust you for sure . But if you write a topic that you want to write since you are a kid and have so many idea or thoughts in your mind then you will enjoy it for sure.

I agree. When your thoughts just keep on flowing down to you mind, you'll find yourself enjoying writing about that certain content and you won't feel tired after it. Are you sure you want to delete this post?

Well, that depends on the article if it has a heavy content or topic to work with. There are times that I am tired after doing it such that the topic is so heavy that I need to do sone research and thinking analysis. There are also times where I feel so energized as the topic is more of my free knowledge or experiences that I could share. In short, it depends whether the content is technical or expository writing.

Whenever I finish a writing job, whether an article, an eBook or a Blog Post, I would always feel that I'm drained of energy. When this happens I would rest, eat some food and relax my mind after which I'll have the energy to write again. My answer is that writing depletes my energy.

It depends on what I'm writing. Am I writing in area that I normally write in? Am I writing about a topic I love. This is what makes all the difference for me. When I write in the health niche which I'm very passionate about, I feel energized. When I write in the technical niche and a niche that I know nothing about I feel drained and I never feel that my article is good enough. I always feel because I'm writing in an area that I know nothing about I'm leaving out alot of information.

For me writing is writing for my own pleasure, deep and brilliant testimonies, poems and histories. It drains me mentally after writing something I view as especially superb, which isn't always all that regularly, I am terribly vital of my own work but it is not arduous. I'll just take a seat quietly and muse retrospectively, on forgotten days and difficult to understand nights long ago.

I agree with others that sometimes we feel energetic when we are writing some topics that are based on our interest. Even though we feel some tardiness from doing some all day work we still motivated to work at night since we are enjoying the writings that we are making. Sometimes having the passion to do things around us help us to stay motivated and energetic for the day.

It has to be both. It would depend what time and what is your mood when you write. When you are in a good mood and you got a lot of free time to write then for sure it will energize you and your creativity will be more open than usual. If you are tired and had a bad day then you should not really be writing but more on relaxing for you to write better. If you were to write it would be good because your mood can be shown through your writing but on the other hand you can be easily tired and don't have the energy to do writing.
